We had the good fortune of connecting with Roger Kornegay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Roger, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We wanted to create a way that we could help local and national businesses sustain during Covid. We wanted to help as we saw so many businesses closing during the pandemic.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always been creative. I’ve always loved art. I acquired a job working for Yelp, and this is really where I honed in on my skills. Outside of that I am a marketer and have worked for numerous companies, marketing products across the globe. I also have a degree in marketing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You definitely want to start the itinerary off with brunch. I don’t care if it’s a Monday or Thursday, we’re going to brunch. Let’s do brunch at Tupelo Honey, downtown Raleigh. Will then probably want to look for some fun things to do where the triangle area has loads of awesome things to do. I’m more of an adventure thrillseeker so I’m gonna head to Durham and we’re going to go to OC Arielle, the Adventure Park. here we will bustle up a sweat and probably want to grab lunch afterwards where we can swing through Durham North Carolina to visit Kales Kitchen. After that, you’ll want to spend some time in Durham walking downtown discovering the awesome historical things they have to do. We will definitely stop through the American tobacco area and then take in all of the awesome views, lastly, wrap things up with dinner back downtown Raleigh at the Street Food Hall. Here there are so many awesome foods where we grab food from different spots. We will then be looking for a dessert to close off the night. That’s one will head north of the area to The Yard Milkshake Bar Raleigh. This is Raleigh‘s newest dessert destination in North Carolina‘s first Yard Milkshake Bar. you can’t go wrong everything is 10 out of 10 come again.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people that have assisted me along the way with this awesome business.. But there’s one specific person that I can say really inspire the entire movement and that’s my wife.
