Meet Michael and Devena Pelzer | Luxury Picnic and Micro Event Planning Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael and Devena Pelzer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael and Devena, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Michael is a Raleigh native, and I am from the inner coastal region of Wallace, NC. Even though he is a city boy and I am a country girl, our upbringing was similar. We grew up in close-nit families who loved to gather and be around each other. I believe that is one of the main reasons why starting our business flowed together so easily because, we are bringing loved ones in safe spaces to gather together.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We have a luxury event planning business that brings loved ones together to celebrate all special occasions and the just because occasions as well. The thing that sets us apart from others is that we customize each event to our customers specific needs. We are excited about the things that we have in store for the upcoming new year so stay tuned. We have learned to overcome challenges by continued prayer and keeping God first in our lives. The most important lesson that we have learned along the way is that no matter what to keep going. We want the world to know that we always give 100% in everything that we do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of our favorite spots in the city of Raleigh, NC are the North Hills area, Cameron Village area, and the Downtown area. There are so many great restaurants, boutiques, and scenic views to check out in these areas.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
