We had the good fortune of connecting with Jon Hammond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jon, can you tell us about an impactful book you’ve read and why you liked it or what impact it had on you?
Both founders of sip co. Stephen and Jon LOVE the book Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage – Alfred Lansing. The true story of Shackleton and his incredible story of survival is an amazing lesson for anyone trying to pursue a dream and working though the obstacles to survive.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sip Co. is a custom drive-thru soda, energy drink, and sparkling water & treat shop, where you can create your cup of happiness or choose one of our signature drinks. We take our drinks seriously (and life a little less seriously).

Take your fav beverage – add fresh fruit, syrups, creams, candies & more! Oh and grab one of our famous cookies and treats.

It started with a dream. Two friends (thanks to our wifeys), an old bank, and big dreams. We moved across the country, fixed up an old bank & opened during a worldwide pandemic in 2020. It didn’t look like much and we were scared out of our minds, but the drinks were poppin’ & cookies tasted great (still do)!

We’ve grown a bit since then, but each drink and cookie is still made with love and we’ll never have it any other way. Come on over, grab a drink & cookie, and #SipHappy!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You must go to Optimist Hall and grab a burger from Harriet’s Hamburgers! Then spend a day or two at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. If you got kids then the Discovery Place Science Center! And always, make a mid-day stop or late-night drink run at Sip Co. 😉

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Stephen and I would first like to give a heartfelt shoutout to our incredible wives, who not only brought us together as partners but have been our rock through the highs and lows of starting Sip Co. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in our vision have been the foundation of everything we’ve accomplished.

We also want to recognize our amazing team—the true heart and soul of Sip Co. Their passion, creativity, and dedication bring our dream to life every single day, and we couldn’t do it without them.

Lastly, a huge shoutout to our customers, who we consider part of the Sip Co. family. Their enthusiasm and love for what we do inspire us to keep innovating and making their day just a little brighter, one custom drink and treat at a time.
