We had the good fortune of connecting with JaMeka Ramnath and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JaMeka, what makes you happy? Why?
There are so many things that make me happy! My family, my small business, traveling, creating digital and craft projects. I also love a good meal and Italian wine.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
About my brand, I am a Content Creator for my family travel blog of 8 years called Ramnaths Away and in 2022 I launched my Etsy shop named House of Ramnath.

House of Ramnath specializes in cute keychain gifts, and digital products for everyday life.

My current biggest sellers are my Cruise Duck Tags and digital planners. My customers love to hide rubber ducks when they cruise so others can find them. They use my printable duck tags to leave their sailing date and ship name on the tags so when others find the duck, it’s like having a special keepsake from the cruise.

As for my other digital products, I offer travel planners, digital stickers, daily planners and printables.

I’m super excited about my new small business. It was and still is not easy at all. As an entrepreneur, I wear many hats. I oversee my marketing, content creation, product creation, sales, customer service, finance (with a lot of helpful advice from my husband) and sometimes I have to be the tech support person for my customers.

So it’s a lot of work and although I’m constantly working on something everyday, it is definitely still rewarding.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

We would take a trip to Biltmore Estate. It’s definitely an American treasure and it’s so cool that we have this gem in North Carolina.

Visiting Biltmore, (even if it’s for one day) feels like teleporting yourself to Europe. The architecture is gorgeous, the grounds are peaceful and wine tasting is a must!

Biltmore is one of those places that can be visited anytime of the year and still feel magical.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a lot of recognition to my husband, Meshach. He has been my biggest cheerleader supporting me at every step of the way in creating and running my small business. He encourages me to not give up when I’m having those tough days (or sometimes weeks) and reminds me of the awesome future that all of my hard work will provide.
