Meet Danielle Hood | Virtual Executive and Operations Assistant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Hood and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
My work life balance has been beat me down over the last two years working in my business. In my experience as an entrepreneur, I’m working in my business all the time. I had to learn the importance of taking breaks and having set work hours. I was recently able to get a handle on things to improve my work life balance. Time blocking and committing to leaving my desk during breaks and ending my day at 5:30 every day has kept me at a great balance that works for me. I no longer work on the weekends unless it’s planned. Taking the steps to obtaining a better work life balance has saved my life. I’m not stressed anymore and I’m able to enjoy the fruits of my business. If you don’t set these boundaries with yourself, you’re going to burn yourself out.
What should our readers know about your business?
Here at Danielle Hood Admin Solutions, we are committed to providing support, encouragement & assistance to busy solopreneurs & small business owners. We are passionate about providing you with more time relieving you of the feeling of being overwhelmed and completing so many tasks alone. Whether it’s calendar management, email management, real estate transaction support, or travel coordination, we are here to help you organize your back office & implement efficient systems.
What sets me apart from others is that it’s more than a business for me. I’m serving your business, but I’m also here to serve you as a person. My most proud moment is me making the step in partnering with God in this business. My plans were to get my Masters, eventually go to Law School and become a Criminal Defense Attorney and look at me now. I’m a business owner! I’m still in shock when I say that.
Becoming a business owner is not for the weak. You need support, community, and if you believe that God called you to it, stick with Him to bring you through it. Always remember your “why”.
What I want others to know about me and my brand is that I love God and I love serving God’s people!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, I’m a home body. I love chilling at home with family and friends. If I was to go out, I would take my friends bowling or to the museums or a local zoo. I also would take them to some great food spots because I love to try new food.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This section goes to the love my life, my wonderful husband Michael Hood. God called me to step into this business and Michael has supported me every step of the way. He’s been an encourager, prayer partner, my pillow to cry on, my person to scream at, and even a client of mine. I am so blessed to have such an amazing and supportive husband. Not everyone is willing to trust the vision God gives their spouse. I know he might have been a little worried, but I’ve never seen his worry or concern. I am truly blessed! Thank you, Michael, for sticking by my side, for trusting the God in me, and for being there in every season of the business.
