We had the good fortune of connecting with Bobby And Dawn Sharpe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bobby and Dawn, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Bobby and I traveled for our last career and spent a lot of time on the road. When the opportunity presented itself, we were thrilled to come back to our town and build a destination that could become a staple for our community.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Bobby was an electrical instructor and also ran his own electrical business. Dawn was a Regional Vice President of Sales in the industry she was in where she oversaw 11+ locations spread out over the east coast. We had the opportunity to work together in the region and while traveling for work, we ran across the Popcorn Opportunity. Both of us love sales, popcorn, sweets and people! We combined all our favorites and that’s how Pop Heaven was born!

Our goal was to produce products that were next level in flavor and combined that with exemplary customer service. Our goal is to have everyone that enters our Shop feel the love that everyone should feel!

We pop around 1000 gallons of popcorn a week and make over 70 plus flavors. From Dill Pickle to spicy peanut to cinnamon bun. If you can think it, we can create it. We make around 80 lbs. of fudge a week, have over 1,000 specialty items from nostalgic candies and sodas to european chocolates. Fresh Made Waffle Cones, Blue Bell Ice Cream and Mega Milkshakes!

We have just started making the “Dubai” Chocolate Bars and selling out quickly. We are always looking at new and exciting ideas for the shop and tell everyone to watch our social media for the next great flavor! The next new item that may POP up!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d have to eat at Los Charros and then head down to Magnolia Boutique for some shopping. If they were staying longer than a day, we’d have to visit Raven Rock and Pint Size Pasture

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We give God all the glory. He set the path in motion, and we could have never dreamed what he blessed us with. Our team has a huge part in our success as well. There is a lot of “behind the scenes” that we couldn’t do it without out them.
