Integrity matters the most to me. I have high standards, and I have a lot of rules that I hold myself to keep in line and in step with who I want to be. Holding myself to my standards and hoping to attract other like-minded people who do things similarly is important to making a change in business and making impactful connections. I’ve spent a lot of time doing things the hard way and dwelling on the negative- now I understand that there are lessons in everything, and if you don’t learn the lessons the first time, you’ll have to go through it until you do. It goes back to one of my mantras, “Do it nice or do it twice.” When I make sure I’m looking at things this way, it’s easier to see where there’s room for more self-development, and not get caught up when I’m sent to be someone else’s lesson. The value or principle that matters most to me is the Golden Rule, which is essentially to “do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.” This principle is significant to me for several reasons. First and foremost, the Golden Rule promotes empathy and compassion. It encourages us to put ourselves in others’ shoes and consider their feelings and needs. By treating others the way we would like to be treated, we foster a more harmonious and understanding world.
