The values and principles that matter

We’ve always believed that forming a strategy is impossible until you’re clear on what your values and principles are. Without values and principles to guide you, making decisions can seem impossibly difficult. Given how important setting values and principles is to decision making we asked folks we admire to tell us about the values or principles that matter most to them.
Servant Leadership has become one of the most prominent principles that I govern my lifestyle and application of business around. It is the catalyst to continuous development, advancement and application of sustainable community. A leader once stated that “a servant leader must be willing to give up their seat, as they just need space to serve.” This statement has resonated with me as we identify that the foundation of any relationship, business or organization has been cultivated with the understanding that key principles of service are nonnegotiables. We run Lux & Lye LLC with the values of transparency, honesty, generosity, and community at the forefront of our actions. Every part of the daily aspects of our business must adhere to our values. We believe that upholding our values gives us an accountability system to ensure we are doing what is best not only for the growth of our business but for the benefit of those we have the honor of serving and interacting with. Humility. Humility is important to me because it enables personal growth and self-awareness. It allows me to acknowledge my imperfections, be empathetic towards others, and approach life with a sense of gratitude and perspective. The value that most matters to me is being able to communicate with others that are looking for an new start or want to have inspiration on how to keep going, Why it’s important to me is that i remember when i wanted to give up because i felt like it was no other way for me to grow and be successful but then i realized With growth comes patience and being and Entrepeneur you have to practice patience because it’s the key to a successful journey, So when i tell my stories or even talk to someone dealing with the same issue I tell them to keep going don’t give up and i feel that is a big Piece of me< Its having that value to motivate individuals to never give up on their goals!
