Meet William Fulton | Chief Visionary of The Jugo Bar

We had the good fortune of connecting with William Fulton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi William, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I consider myself the Chief Visionary of The Jugo Bar and I am a Winston-Salem native. As a younger man, I spent years traveling the world along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea including Casablanca, Morocco to the South of France, where I settled for a time in the wine country. I credit these experiences with intensifying my interest in flavor profiles, many of which are infused in my line of juices, waters, and 43 varieties of handcrafted beverages, bottled under the brand The Jugo Bar name (Jugo Spanish for Juice) Bar brand made In Downtown Winston-Salem, NC. It is very important to me that my beverages are produced in my hometown and sold all over the nation.
What should our readers know about your business?
The Jugo Bar is an Exotically-Infused Juice Brand made for the Juice Connoisseur. The Jugo Bar has expanded rapidly from only one juice offering, Melon Jugo, a fresh watermelon juice to now offering 43 juice blends (Blackberry Sage, Pineapple Jalapeno Cilantro, and a Carrot Lemonade with fresh ginger, turmeric, and oranges, just to name a few).
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to the NODA neighborhood in Charlotte where The Jugo Bar Tasting Lounge is located. This neighborhood is so eclectic and honestly has something for everyone. We would grab a burger at Jackbeagles, wine at Bar à Vins, and for dessert a dipped popsicle from Popbar
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would actually like to shoutout three organizations. First, I would like to shoutout Chef Jeff Bacon and Providence Culinary Training for supporting me with the skills I need to succeed. Secondly, I would like to shoutout Carol Davis and The Enterprise Center for their direction and for the granted use of the shared kitchen space and business start-up catalyst center which helped my business grow to where it is today. Lastly, I would like to shoutout my brother, Bishop Todd Fulton, without him and his congregation, Mount Moriah Outreach Center, there would indeed be no Jugo Bar.
