Meet Wanda Micheal | Planner, Educator & Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Wanda Micheal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Wanda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business was easy because I married a successful entrepreneur. He has been extremely supportive of my endeavors and has encouraged our children to become entrepreneurs as well. Together, we have built three successful small businesses and have earned numerous awards and certifications.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started Mobile Music and Education for Kids several years ago after realizing that there were too many students seriously lacking the basic skills required to be successful in their coursework. I wanted to find a way to engage children in a way that they respond to and have lots of fun while learning. We strive to meet the educational, health, and developmental needs of students through musical play and creative activities. When you make learning exciting, students are more willing to participate and often find the lesson not only more fun, but more memorable. I am most pleased with my recently published interactive game Musical Education & Fitness Walk which is available online wherever books are sold. And one of the biggest challenges I’ve had to face in business was the COVID-19 shutdown. However, through hard work, personnel sacrifice, and determination, I am back on the road to success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Raleigh is North Carolina’s capital and best known for its strong economy, pleasant climate, abundance of jobs, and small-town hospitality. If a friend was visiting the area. I would take them to Pullen Park, The Museum of Art, The Museum of History, and downtown to eat at my favorite restaurant. Big Ed’s Restaurant is one of my favorites because breakfast is served all day, and it’s delicious.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my amazing husband and children. They have played a significant role in helping keep my businesses operating successfully. It is not easy starting a new business, but I feel it is extremely important to have family support. As long as I’m productive and enjoying what I do they are supportive.
