Meet The Jonah Projec | A Not So Bad Christian Rock Band

We had the good fortune of connecting with The Jonah Projec and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi The Jonah Projec, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired the people I am in community with. I write songs for The Jonah Project based on what struggles and moments of joy that I hear from people I love.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We try to scratch that emo/indie Christian rock itch that about .0001% of the Church has. We think we do it pretty well and authentically. Listen for yourself on Spotify and let us know what you think on Instagram.
There are definitely challenges in exposing people to our music because it’s so hard to break through the fray. That said, we trust that word of mouth and small yet authentic following is better than an inauthentic but large one. We put a lot of work into making sure the writing, recording, mixing, and mastering of our work is done to the best it can be.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would simply take them to all of my friends houses so they can see the people I spend the most time with. Spending money is fine, but that will all pass away. People, on the other hand, don’t.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Chris Breslin, for being a faithful pastor and a supporter of the arts
