Hi Stoney, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Blessed Be Thy Stoner is having the support of others, whether it be a stranger, family member, or an old friend from school. People often think that support solely means making purchases with you regularly but I hold a different opinion to me. Support is SO MUCH MORE than spending your money with me!! You can ask anyone who knows me, the only method of support that is ever ask of an individual is to interact with and share my posts on social media. By interacting, I mean liking the post, commenting, or sharing it on your page or story. My Crystal Healing Jewelry might not exactly be your cup of tea but your old coworker that you befriended on Facebook might be interested and how will they ever know about my business if you don’t share my post for others to see!? Advertising can get expensive, especially when social media algorithms tend to work against small business owners. We small business owners need all the support we can get to keep us going <3

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When you purchase from Blessed Be Thy Stoner, you’re purchasing a high-quality, handmade piece of art in the form of jewelry or decor embedded with love and good energy – that alone is what sets my business apart from others. Blessed Be Thy Stoner has some exclusive collections, including Chakra Balancing and Evil Eye Jewelry & Decor.

The thing that I am the most proud of is having brought my business idea to life. I remember clocking into my job in March 2020 and asking my coworkers, “If I start selling crystal jewelry, who would help me show my stuff off??” No one seemed to take my business idea seriously until I started wearing my creations to work. Even then, I still didn’t get much support from them, which made want to go harder until I found the proper support channels.

Blessed Be Thy Stoner has been in business since April 2020 and let me tell you, the road to success is extremely rocky. Since I make Crystal Healing Jewelry & Decor, it’s key that I take care of my mental health and maintain my chakras. If I’m not in alignment, I won’t create any new pieces due to the exchange of energy that happens during that process. I have to make time for myself and unwind by getting out in nature or simply snuggling up for a nap with my cats.

I want the world to know that shopping for Crystal Healing Jewelry & Decor does not have to break the bank, which is the reason why I went into business. Every month, I try to run a special of some sort. Sometimes there is a discount code for a set percentage off of an order or it could be a sale on a category of items.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ll imagine one of my childhood friends made her way down here to Raleigh, NC for a 3 day weekend in the summer. We’d start the day making smoothies at home and pack our lunches for a day of adventure hiking around Umstead Park. Once we’ve had our fair share of exploring the outdoors, we would stop by Dancing Moon Books & Gifts on Wake Forest Rd so that I could show her my recently updated display of jewelry and crystal air vent clips that are for sale there. For dinner, we’ll visit my favorite Mexican restaurant, Los Tres Magueyes in Rolesville. We would finish off the night catching up on life while we paint.
After we’ve brushed our teeth the next day, we’ll get dressed for a day of ziplining and climbing through the trees during a visit to TreeRunner Adventure Park. I’m sure we’ll exhausted and won’t want to drive far for food so we’ll stop somewhere I’ve never eaten before, Pure Vegan Cafe on Creedmoor Rd. Our next stop would be to walk along the Greenway Trail on the Neuse River. We’ll walk until sunset and spend the rest of our evening in my backyard around the firepit doing some intention-setting activities. We’ll make vision boards, spell jars, and do candle magic. Movie choice of the night: Practical Magic until we fall asleep.
Upon waking up on her last day in town, we’ll find somewhere downtown to grab breakfast and eat in the hammocks in Dorothea Dix Park. We were sore from all the climbing yesterday, so we decided to take it easy today and play some video games at BoxCar. Following several wins and losses, we went to find ourselves some grub inside the Morgan Street Food Hall, maybe even do some axe throwing while we’re there. Since we happened to be downtown already, let’s explore the NC Museum of Natural Sciences to kill time before she has to catch her flight later.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are two individuals I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to, my mother and my business partner. My mother has supported me and Blessed Be Thy Stoner since it was just an idea in January 2020. She’s where I got all of my creative talents from. I’m pretty sure she’s been sewing for nearly 40yrs if not longer!! I’ve asked her for advice on creating a new display piece for my jewelry at events. She has always had a solution to my problem if I ran into any.
I didn’t meet my business partner until after I had already been in business for over a year but since then, he’s been a non-stop motivator for me to be the best version of myself in both life and business. I’m grateful for having him around to bounce creative ideas off of and when attending vendor events, not because of his physical strength for loading and unloading but rather his ability to speak and connect with customers.
