We had the good fortune of connecting with Selena Jakovec and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Selena, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my clothing brand is consistency. I am consistent in the quality of my designs. I take the extra time to ensure the items are constructed well and are made in a timely fashion. Communication is key as well. Alot of issues can be resolved easily with good communication with your client before and after the process.
 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Hard work and having discipline is my motto. I never sell anything that I myself wouldn’t buy. I also try to think like a consumer instead of a seller which helps with my pricing as well as my customer service. I find that with good communication and consistency in a quality product generally will lead to a successful endeavor. I have always considered myself creative in a way. I find peace in painting and designing. It is amazing to take something that is blank and create something you’re proud of from it.

Noemi Roarks, she is a fellow artist . She has been my biggest supporter as well.
