Meet Robonetta B. Jones | Attorney & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Robonetta B. Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Robonetta B., is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My belief in God, myself, my parents’ support, and my sister’s love are the most critical factors behind my success. My core values teach me that I can do everything through Christ, who strengthens me. My confidence in that Bible verse allows me to be highly confident in myself as an attorney and a person. I believe in walking into every room confident and being prepared for trial to the best of my ability.
There is not anything you cannot do as long as you put your mind to it. Once you put your mind to following your dreams, you must ensure you take the proper steps to follow them.
I genuinely enjoy fighting for my client’s rights and advocating when they feel they do not have a voice in our justice system. As a result, I listen and take notes about what the client truly wants. The ability to listen, not judge, make clients feel comfortable, and litigate contributes tremendously to my success.
Regarding my brand, I have established myself as a brand and an attorney. I ensure that I am visible in the community and have a strong internet presence. I make sure that I make videos that are informative and sometimes funny. My marketing and I make sure we keep up with the trending sounds. Additionally, I hired a fantastic videographer who can capture high-quality videos and create commercials that enthuse my audience.
What should our readers know about your business?
Since childhood, I have dreamed of becoming an attorney and owning a law firm. This aspiration was solidified when I took a mock trial class in middle school. The idea of having the autonomy to choose the cases I handle and the ability to create jobs, set my schedule, and give back to my community through my business has always been a driving force for me.
My mom is always been a driving force behind me. She wanted me to become an entrepreneur. When she passed away when I was 19, she made my promise to follow my dreams and become a lawyer. I kept my promise to my mom and passed the bar.
Before opening my firm, I worked at a law firm, and I did not like how they ran the business, treated their employees, and litigated. Because of that, I decided it was finally time to realize my childhood dream and open my firm. I wanted to offer quality legal services to the community. I could not find the environment I wanted, so I created my own.
It was not easy for me to start my firm or become a lawyer. However, I chose to devote all my energy to perfecting my craft, studying, and becoming an amazing litigator. When it came to starting my firm, I put together a plan, made sure I followed the steps, and put together a marketing plan.
In order to overcome the challenges, I prayed and never gave up on my dreams and my education.
I want the world to know that following your dreams is not easy but worth it. I am most proud of zealously representing all of my clients while remaining true to myself. I never lose sight of myself and my values, and I have a great work ethic.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend to my favorite movie theatre in Cary called Paragon Theatre. I would also take her to eat in my favorite area, North Hills. My favorite restaurant is Ruth’s Chris and Capitale Grill.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and best friend deserve a shoutout. My mom, dad, and sister have always supported my dreams and ensured I had all the tools to succeed. My cousins Katina and Joshua are some of my biggest supporters.
My best friend, Iecia, has supported me and has always been there for me.
I also had fantastic teachers and friends in law school, such as Veneta and Jay. Everyone deserves an excellent support system; I am blessed to have mine.
