We had the good fortune of connecting with Paris Lann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paris, what are you inspired by?
I’m constantly inspired by the life that I see for myself. All the time, work, and prayers that I put in today will be a reflection of my life months or years from now. I know in the future I will have financial stability, prosperous businesses, and a platform that will allow me to complete my mission while also giving back to the world. The goals and aspirations that I have set for myself keep me hungry and inspired. Even when I complete one goal, I don’t get comfortable because it usually inspires me to do more.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am in the business of enhancing an individuals natural beauty by using cosmetic procedures. What sets me apart from others is that there is no ceiling to the work that I do. I am always continuing my education and improving the quality of my work. I also enjoy doing my homework on how I can introduce new ideas to the industry and improve some current flaws. I believe the job is never done, but that’s what makes it fun for me. This aspect allows me to be creative. The journey was more challenging personally than it was professionally for me. It took a lot of research, work, and prayers asking for clarity to pinpoint exactly what I wanted career wise and what my purpose was. Once I understood what my end-goal was, everything else pretty much fell into place. One of the main lessons I learned along the way is to never get comfortable. In order to be set apart from others and maintain the integrity of your art, you can’t be complacent. You have to stay hungry and maybe step away from the crowd for a few months and just lock in on your priorities and goals. Whats meant for you, will still be there for you when the time is right. What I want the world to know about me is that I’m just getting started. I feel as if I haven’t even scratched the surface of all the heights I want to reach. I have a lot of projects that I am working on right now and I can’t wait until the time comes for me to share them with everyone!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a very diverse girl so I like a little bit of everything like clubbing, excursions, and of course a dope food spot. If my bestie was in town of course we would have to start the day off with a nice brunch! Someplace with nice food and drinks like the Stir in Raleigh. Next, to walk to the food and drinks off I would say we hit up downtown, take some flicks and check out some of the clothing stores and do a little bit of shopping. Then head to Frankies because I love a good arcade! My favorite thing to do there is the Go-Karts. Lastly, we would probably end the night at a lounge with Hookah and Karaoke. That sounds like a pretty fun day to me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The beauty industry is constantly growing and changing; which is why I am in love with it. There are so many avenues to it and as I gain experience in the industry I am constantly being motivated to sharpen my current skills and learn new ones. There are many beauty professionals and brands that I look up to, and I’m like wait, they just took this to a whole new level. One beauty mogul I admire is Rihanna. The way she dominated the beauty industry with both makeup and skincare was super inspiring because it proved that you don’t just have to stay in one lane when it comes to a career. You can utilize all of your talents and interests instead of just settling with one.
