Meet Nic Crainshaw | Photo Booth Service Provider

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nic Crainshaw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nic, what’s your definition for success?
I think success can be defined many different ways. The way it looks or feels can really vary from person to person. For me personally, success is when you have the freedom to do something you have a passion for that allows you to provide for yourself and your family.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe the photo booth companies are easy to come by, and you have to stand out to make it successful.. I believe what we offer is the highest quality experience because we pay attention to every little detail that would otherwise be overlooked. Things like loose cables, low quality photos, poor quality props/backdrops, and an untidy appearance are all things that might seem minor but make the world of a difference.

The largest hurdle I have had to face was one I did not expect, which is operations on the backend. Things like marketing, client communication, and planning were all things that I have had to learn as I go. These things may sound simple, but they take a lot of time to develop the necessary skills, especially if you are particular as I have been. It has been especially hard to take the time to learn these skills since I also juggle a full time job along with the operations of Lake Norman Photo Booths.

I would like all people to know that I am passionate about creating and capturing fun moments at every event I go to. Providing quality service and a memorable experience is what I enjoy the most about the work that I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would probably start with chicken and waffles for brunch at at the Village Corner in Concord. Then head down to the White Water Center in Charlotte for some rafting, kayaking, and other fun outdoor activities. Have a picnic by the river side down there and head back to Kannapolis for a few drinks at the Gaelic Alley Irish Pub. Then catch a Kannapolis Cannon Ballers baseball game to finish off the night!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout Bistro Catering & Events! This was my first job in the event industry where I got a look behind the scenes and developed an understanding of how event operations worked. It was here that I learned all about the event industry and how I enjoyed providing services that could take someone’s event to the next level and make it special.
