Meet Madison Winter | Companion & Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Madison Winter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Madison, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I grew up in a small town, with a single mom who struggled financially. I had my first official job by 15, and contributed to household expenses like groceries and heat/hydro regularly. After putting myself through college, and earning a job in finance, I remember looking around wondering: “is this all there is?” I think my early experiences instilled a hunger, and a determination to achieve. I rose quickly through roles within the financial realm, but found working for someone else deeply unsatisfying.
It quickly became clear to me that entrepreneurship was the only way forward, and so, I began an unconventional career as a Companion and Content Creator, within the adult industry.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Sex work, the adult industry, companionship.. regardless of whether you’ve even heard of it, what you call it, or whether or not you agree with it: it is work. Often times equal parts challenging and yet rewarding, just like many other career choices, especially those in the entrepreneurial realm. Sex workers deserve rights just like any other worker, because let’s face it: the world needs us.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Toronto is a multi-cultural, ethically diverse and absolutely fabulous city. It’s difficult to run out of things to do, see, and most importantly, eat! My favourite restaurants are: Shoushin, a Michelin star Omakase in the north end of the city, Jacob’s steakhouse, and TOCA for to-die-for Italian. Museums, live-music, axe-throwing, virtual reality? Showing my dates around town is privilege, and sharing in my city’s hotspots is a joy!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m super appreciative of the sex workers who came before me, and those who currently work within the adult industry. They’re breaking stereotypes and norms, and spreading love in a world that so desperately needs it. On a more personal note, I’d be amiss if I didn’t also mention my fiancé. He’s been in the background, as my rock and support system, enabling me to do the work that I do with ease.
