Hi Lisa, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The success of Sunday Salon and my personal journey are intertwined, and at the crux is a singularly important factor: authenticity. The core of our brand is the celebration of individuality, and this principle guides every interaction we have with our clients. From the moment a client steps into the salon, we strive to provide a genuine, personalized experience, not just a service. We listen to their stories, understand their aspirations, and then craft a unique style that reflects their personality and lifestyle. That authenticity, both in our approach to styling and our interactions with clients, has resonated with people: they appreciate the genuine respect for their individuality and the effort to truly understand and enhance their natural beauty. Sunday Salon’s success is a testament to the power of authenticity in building strong connections and delivering value in an industry often marked by fleeting trends and impersonal service.

I suppose what sets me, and by extension Sunday Salon, apart is our unwavering commitment to celebrating individuality and authenticity. We have steered clear of the cookie-cutter approach prevalent in the beauty industry, instead choosing to focus on enhancing each person’s unique beauty. I am incredibly proud of the environment we’ve created at Sunday Salon, a space where everyone feels seen and valued. As for my journey, it certainly was not easy. There were countless late nights, doubts and learning curves, but every challenge became a stepping stone. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to stay true to myself and my vision. It’s easy to get swayed by trends and competition, but authenticity always wins.
Getting to where I am today would not have been possible without a strong support system, a willingness to continually learn and adapt, and a lot of perseverance. I faced challenges head-on, and I learned to see every setback as an opportunity for growth.
What I want the world to know about Sunday Salon is that we are more than a salon – we are a community. We are an inclusive, welcoming space that celebrates individuality and self-expression. To anyone walking through our doors, know that you will be listened to, respected, and celebrated for who you are. You are not a number; you are an individual with unique beauty, and we are here to enhance and celebrate it. And that’s the beauty and the story of Sunday Salon!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting, I would ensure they experience the fascinating blend of culture, art, and beauty this city offers. We’d start our journey with a visit to the local art galleries where the vibrant local art scene comes alive. For meals, we’d explore the diverse food scene. Our itinerary would be sprinkled with stops at quaint cafes for breakfast, trendy bistros for lunch, and elegant restaurants for dinner, offering an eclectic mix of cuisines that represents the city’s diverse culinary heritage.
We’d also visit the iconic landmarks of the city and soak in the breathtaking views. Our evenings would be reserved for attending local theater productions or relaxing live music sessions in cozy bars.
The city’s parks and botanical gardens are a must-visit for their serene beauty, perfect for leisurely strolls and picnic lunches.
Finally, no tour would be complete without visiting Sunday Salon. Here, they’d receive a personalized beauty treatment, a warm community vibe, and a unique glimpse into the local culture.
While the city’s places and experiences are captivating, the true essence lies in its people. The welcoming locals, passionate artists, and innovative entrepreneurs form the pulsating heart of the city, making it a uniquely charming and vibrant place to explore.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely, there are several individuals I would like to recognize for their significant contribution to my journey. First and foremost, I would like to give a shoutout to my amazing team at Sunday Salon. Their hard work, dedication, and creative energy have been instrumental in shaping the brand’s identity and success. Each one of them brings a unique perspective to the table, and their passion for their craft is truly inspiring. I would also like to thank my mentors, both inside and outside the industry, for their guidance and support. Their insights have been invaluable in helping me navigate challenges and grow both personally and professionally.
Lastly, I must recognize the role of our clients in our success. Their trust in our brand and their genuine appreciation for our work have been a constant source of motivation and validation.
