Meet Leslie Tello | Yoga and Meditation instructor, Community Builder and Wellness Real Estate Agent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Leslie Tello and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leslie, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
“The harder you push, the more successful you’ll be”. It is easy to misunderstand the origin of success and believe it comes from struggle and relentless work. I think success requires deep honesty about what is most valuable to you, integrity to stay in alignment with it, awareness of what is needed around you and how what you have to offer can support people, and the patience to implement, review, and adjust as you learn and evolve.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Six years ago I discovered how yoga (traditional holistic yoga) can transform your life. I went through an intense period of realignment through this practice and much changed because of that. One of the things I experienced is that life is all-inclusive. All that surrounds us can be a source of deep support or a hindrance, and our superpower is our choice. But for us to experience that power we must be in alignment with our values. The journey of self-awareness has many tools available and through my business, I share the space to experience four healing practices: movement, yoga, play and silence. We are the only Ecstatic Dance community in Greensboro.
My business has taught me that the journey isn’t straight or easy. There will be obstacles and tests but in order to navigate them and be of service to my community I must live in integrity with myself. I have learned how much we need one another to uplift, inspire, and support each other as we walk our own sacred journey side by side
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I know they would stay at Four Farms Place, a sustainable and eco-friendly Airbnb in town where they harvest their honey.
We would catch a performance at the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and grab some pizza at Sticks and Stones.
I like learning the history of the places I visit, so I would take my friend to the International Civil Rights Center and Museum. Then we would pet cats at The Crooked Tail Cat Cafe, have tea at Pour Vida Tea, and stop at Ecstatic Dance on a Tuesday evening, of course! 🙂 That sounds like a well-rounded day to me.
On the weekend, we would visit the Farmers Market and Revolution Mill.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
