Hi Lanette, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of my favorite quotes comes from Romans 8:28: “All things work together for the good.” This resonates deeply with me because it serves as a reminder that even the toughest challenges can lead to meaningful outcomes.

I appreciate this quote so much because it encourages a positive perspective, especially during difficult times. It helps me remember that struggles often have hidden benefits and can ultimately lead to growth and achievement. This mindset has been invaluable in both my personal and professional journey.

What should our readers know about your business?
The nonprofit organization has the following mission.

Mission Statement: Souther Lux JeepSistas Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting our community through two key pillars: supporting foster families and enhancing the emotional and social wellness of senior citizens. We aim to foster nurturing relationships and connections that enrich lives.

Vision: Souther Lux JeepSistas Inc. envisions a community where foster families are supported and seniors are celebrated and connected, creating a compassionate community that benefits all.

What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and community impact. I’m most proud of the connections I’ve built and the positive changes I’ve seen in the lives of others through my work.

My journey to where I am today has been easy compared to many. I’ve had some challenges, from navigating setbacks to finding the right resources but overall, each hurdle strengthens my resilience, and I am sometime surprised at my own adaptability. I learned that seeking help and leaning on my support network can make all the difference.

One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the power of listening—both to my audience and to my own intuition. This has helped me shape my brand in a way that truly resonates with people.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that we’re driven by a genuine desire to uplift others. Our mission goes beyond just business; it’s about creating meaningful connections and fostering a sense of belonging in our community. I believe that when we lift each other up, we all thrive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a fan of a good scavenger hunt. I would organize a fun and unexpected scavenger hunt throughout the city and surrounding areas. I am a huge fan of home cooked meals

Sunday – Chill out at home and host a themed dinner party
Monday – Fitness with Queen of All Things to get the energy flowing
Tuesday – Taco Tuesday at La Perla – Yummy!
Wednesday – District House of Taps for wings and beer
Thursday – Visit the Transportation and Local History Museum and of course Fort Liberty.
Friday – Stroll through Downtown Fayetteville to check out local shops. Hopefully it’s a 1st Friday event happening.
Saturday – Head to the Crown Coliseum to check out any events or show.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! I want to take a moment to celebrate my wonderful husband, Zeke Kelly. His unwavering love and support have been the foundation of my journey. Whether he’s cheering me on during my successes or guiding me through tough times, he’s been my biggest advocate. I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without his steadfast belief in me.

I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible mentors and colleagues who have shaped my path. From the invaluable guidance of Rachel McQueen-Stevenson during my Army career to so many others whose support has inspired me, I am deeply grateful for each and every one of them. Their encouragement has fueled my pursuit of my goals, and I cherish their impact on my life
