Meet Kiara Wilson | Owner & Radio Personality of True Dreams Radio

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiara Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiara, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The single most important decision I’ve made that contributed to my success was putting God in the center of my lifestyle. I needed God not just in a personal way but in a business mind state as well. Putting God in the center of ALL relationships in my life has allowed for me to grow spiritually, financially and mentally. I’ve gained more discernment with what business decisions I should make and what friendships/ relationships to let go peacefully. Whether you call him “God”, “The Universe” or Him/Her; Be sure to have a higher power become the center of your lifestyle because it allows for you have someone hold you accountable that truly wants nothing but the best for you when it comes to your spirit and wellbeing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Creating an internet radio station with my mother in January 2015 was such a blessing. It allowed for me to learn how to run a business at the age of 22 while being fresh out of college which was such a challenge but yet rewarding. I went through a lot of trauma throughout these past eight years with people I have met throughout this journey but I have also had so many successes with individuals I’ve connected with too.

Having a radio station that doesn’t gossip or focus on any celebrity news is a gift and curse at the same time. Often times I feel like the black sheep with media, but I always feel like that what makes my brand successful for me and the independent artist that I work with.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to call myself an owner and entrepreneur of my own station and I will continue to live this legacy for myself and future family!
