Hi Key, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
For me, my own business was born out of necessity. As a single mother, I needed a way to provide for my household without the constant fear of losing a job simply because I didn’t have childcare. Traditional employment wasn’t flexible enough for me to accommodate the unpredictable demands of motherhood, and I realized I had to create my own path.

Instead of depending on a system that wasn’t meeting or providing for my needs in that moment, I created a workable solution to my problem by turning my skills acquired through on the job training, which started with tax preparation training at the IRS, along with bookkeeping services. I combined that knowledge with a whole lot of determination and hard work; managing to steadily grow my business and turn that into income; thus ensuring that I could sustain my daughter’s and my own livelihood. Every challenge, whether it was financial instability, lack of support, or moments of doubt became an opportunity to innovate and push forward.

Entrepreneurship provided me the ability to have control over my time, my earnings, and my future. I no longer had to choose between being a present mother and having financial security. I was able to generate my own cash flow. I learned to navigate obstacles with strategy and perseverance, and ultimately built a foundation that allowed both my daughter, and me to thrive.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Legendary Expansion Services is more than just a business; it’s a movement designed to empower individuals and entrepreneurs through expert financial services, business coaching, and tax solutions. What sets us apart is our commitment to education, financial literacy, and personalized strategies that help our clients build wealth, protect their assets, and scale their businesses. We not only offer these services, we also create legacies by equipping people with the knowledge and tools they need to achieve financial independence.

I’m most proud of the impact Legendary Expansion Services has had on our clients. Whether it’s helping someone maximize their tax returns, get their business structured correctly, or guiding an entrepreneur toward long-term success, every win for them is a win for us. Seeing people break free from financial limitations and step into their full potential is what excites me the most!

The journey to where we are today was far from easy. I started this business with $100, a borrowed laptop, and a vision right at my kitchen table on a Friday night. At the time, I had no office, no fancy resources just determination and a drive to create a better future for myself and my daughter. I quickly realized that many people needed financial guidance and resources to create their own paths to success.

I faced challenges, doubts, setbacks, and moments where I questioned whether I was making the right move. But through faith, persistence, and an unwavering belief in my purpose, I overcame those obstacles by staying committed to my mission.

Lessons I’ve learned along the way:
1. Success requires resilience. There will be challenges, but how you respond to them defines your outcome.
2. Financial literacy is power. The more you understand money, business, and taxes, the better control you have over your future.
3. Helping others succeed is the ultimate success. When you serve and uplift others, you naturally elevate yourself.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my daughter, and late my great-grandmother, Alberta. They have been my greatest sources of inspiration, strength, love, and motivation. My daughter pushes me every day to be the best version of myself, reminding me why I work so hard and why I refuse to give up. My great-grandmother Alberta laid the foundation of resilience, faith, and perseverance that I carry with me in everything I do.

Beyond them, I want to recognize the incredible support system that has uplifted me: my family, friends, and mentors who have encouraged me through every challenge. A special shoutout to my father, who has always been my biggest cheerleader and a constant source of wisdom and motivation. He has always told me, “If you keep moving and don’t stop, you will keep progressing in life. Just don’t stop moving, Key.” His words have carried me through some of my toughest moments and continue to remind me that forward, is the only direction.

I would also like to acknowledge the single mothers and entrepreneurs out there who, like me, are building their own path despite the odds. It reminds me that success isn’t just about personal achievement, but also about paving the way for others to thrive.

Lastly, my faith has played a major role in my journey. I truly believe that God placed me on this path for a reason and every obstacle I’ve overcome, has been a part of His plan to shape me into the woman I am today. I’m grateful for the purpose he’s given me and for the ability to use my knowledge and experiences to empower others.
