Hi kevoGOTbeats, what do you attribute your success to?
Time management, staying focused, and patience. All these things have literally gone hand in hand with any success or failure that I’ve had. Learning to manage all 3 is what has gotten me this far and will continue to guide me onward.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I feel the proudest of is the fact that I can give back. I’ve been making beats for 23 years and at this point, young beatmakers hit me up wanting to collab, tips, advice, etc. It’s a wonderful cycle because when I was their age and starting off in Greensboro, NC, I didn’t have anyone to ask about beats. I really had to grind the streets just to obtain a lot of knowledge and connections. So, to be able to pass that knowledge that I have on to the youth and see them strive with it is uh yeah, beautiful. I do it all for the love fr.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To be completely honest, I like home cooked meals and if I do eat out it’ll be a quick bite from Bojangles or Cookout because they were founded in NC. As far as spots to go to though……..Soul Lab Studios. A beatmaker I am, a travel guide, travel agent, host……I am not.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Hmmm let’s see. Shoutout, no pun intended, to all my friends and family. They are all one and the same, but they deserve all my credit for being there and really inspiring me to keep creating. Salute to everyone!
