Meet Kevin Seifert | Chief Visual Creative Officer | Photographer | Visual Storyteller | Business Leader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Seifert and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, how does your business help the community?
RTP.Studio focuses on visual storytelling. Each event has people and stories to tell. Through discovery and curiosity, we explore the world of corporate communications, marketing, higher education, conventions, conferences, and non-profit organizations which all are communities within the greater community.
Our clients typically have us focus on company culture, core values, and the mission/vision of leadership and participants. Telling actual stories of the impact an organization has made or is making helps the community understand the problems the organizations are solving.
Oftentimes, people do not realize that their neighbors might work for a company or organization that has a large, positive impact on the community. By telling these stories we help community members understand a different perspective or just opening the eyes of something important happening around them.
Helping create visual narratives which help tell a story through photo and video is a great way to spread the local goodness that is happening to a global audience.
What should our readers know about your business?
RTP.Studio is a visual content creation company focused on still photography and video storytelling through a lens of authenticity. As we’ve grown, we have become a de facto visual creatives agency helping create revenue and steady work for other photographers and videographers.
We have a collaborative mindset as well as a passion to help like-minded creatives truly make a living from doing what they love: storytelling using visual media.
The biggest differentiator is we have created a pool of reliable, talented photographers who help clients and each other grow in a positive, supportive way.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Durham, aka The Bull City, and our Tobacco Road neighbors Chapel Hill are the places to explore. First, the restaurant scene in both cities is phenomenal. In Durham you can hit up Little Bull, Vin Rouge, Viceroy, Guglhopf, Foster’s Market, Alley 26, Counting House, and just about 20 other great spots in Durham. Chapel Hill boasts 411 West, Kipos, Osteria Giorgio, Luche Tigre, and, again, probably 20 more.
Durham boasts wonderful entertainment from the famous Durham Bulls minor league baseball team to the world-class Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC). You can also get in an incredible drinks and food tour as an event. Then there are lots of weekend festivals and events.
Some hang outs are Cocoa Cinnamon, Geer Street Garden, Fullsteam Brewery, Namu Beer Hall and Garden, and Beyu Caffe.
Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill just about always have public events from theater and sports to lectures and conferences going on. These are two of the top 20 universities in the world right here 8 miles apart!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to the multitude of mentors and teachers from university professors to photography mentors to business role models who have helped shape my path and build the fundamentals of RTP.Studio.
Colleagues like Clint Keller, Walt Unks, Joe Weiss, Mark Dolejs, Sara Davis, Ross Taylor, Chris DeVito, and Bernard Thomas always shared wisdom and photography skills whenever I asked for help.
Business leaders like my Triangle BNI group, aka The Bull City Business Leaders, have been immensely helpful. Kelly Mackay, Brian Scott, Luke Russ, Shelley Cole, Michele Castle, and Steve Hand are just the tip of the iceberg.
My professional friends who trust me and the team like Evan Carroll, Stan Phelps, and Chris Hildreth have been amazing guides.
Most importantly, my family with my wife being my number one supporter. She prefers to go unnamed, but I am so grateful for over 19 years of marriage and 22 years of friendship.
