Hi Kenyatta, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started Kaycation Luxury Travel because I believe travel should be more than just a trip — it should be a well-curated experience that transforms, excites, and connects people to the world and to themselves.

After years of planning group trips, leadership retreats, and personal getaways for others, I realized how often people settle for ordinary when they truly desire extraordinary. I wanted to remove the overwhelm and guesswork, and replace it with white-glove service, insider access, and intentional travel planning that honors people’s time, dreams, and energy.

I launched this business to serve busy professionals, couples, families, and groups who want more than a vacation — they want something unforgettable. Travel is personal, and so is how I plan. When clients book with me, they know they’re not just getting a trip… they’re getting a Kaycation.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Kaycation Luxury Travel was born from a deep love for people and a bold belief that everyone deserves to travel well. My boutique agency specializes in crafting seamless, elevated travel experiences for groups, couples, and busy professionals who want more than just a vacation — they want something meaningful, effortless, and unforgettable.

What sets us apart is our high-touch approach. I don’t just book trips — I listen, learn, and design each journey with intention. From adult-only getaways to milestone celebrations, retreats, or destination weddings, every Kaycation is tailored to reflect the uniqueness of the traveler.

Getting to this point wasn’t easy. I started with a vision, heart, and grit — but no roadmap. I faced seasons where I had to push past doubt, financial risk, and the pressure of balancing entrepreneurship with real life. But I stayed the course, committed to learning the business, investing in my growth, and serving clients with excellence. The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Build relationships before revenue — when people trust you, they will book with you, refer you, and grow with your brand.

Today, I’m most proud of the community I’ve built — clients who’ve become family, and a brand that stands on integrity, personalized service, and curated luxury.
