We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendra Burnette and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kendra, why did you pursue a creative career?
I decided to pursue an artistic/creative career because being able to express myself in an artistic manner provides me with the greatest joy in life.

Being a creator of any artform is one of the most divine blessings in life. Being a Home Organizer and Designer allows me the opportunity to dive into a world of limitless creativity and artistic expression.

My creative process is a therapeutic outlet and I thoroughly enjoy releasing my ideas while curating beautiful spaces for my clients.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am proud to be able to intentionally connect with my clients with In-Home Consultations and communicating throughout the process of my services. I want to be able to understand the root cause of why my clients may have trouble with home organization and what methods and techniques work best for the overall functionality of their home spaces.

Understanding the premise of how my clients physical, mental and emotional state of well-being is also important in knowing how to better service their home needs.

From the beginning of establishing my business with projects of with family and close family members, I learned how to build on my knowledge of home organization and interior design by perfecting my craft over the years. I never imagined that this interest/hobby I had would eventually become a business.

I have been in business for 4 years, and I’m always learning interesting techniques from other peers in my industry and I’m eternally grateful to be both an innovator and student within both the home organization and design industry.

I’ve had to take a few breaks over the span of my career and the challenges and obstacles may have seemed overwhelming at the time, but I kept pursuing my business goals because I love what I do and am honored to be able to bless others with my gift.

The many lessons and failures along the way have strengthened my belief that no matter what may stand in the way, your passion is the one thing that drives your ambition and determination.

I want the world to know that my brand is unique, innovative and on the path of changing the lives of others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a hostess at heart! My friends are my circle of joy, so when I’m around them, I go to great lengths to ensure that they’re enjoying themselves. If I had a friend in town, we’d have a nice brunch somewhere in a beautiful outside venue. I’m all about bottomless Mimosas, so we would have the ultimate brunch.

Later during the evening, I’d take my best friend to a funky jazz spot. I love live music, and I absolutely enjoy music that have rhythmic healing vibrations. We would dance the night away and go to a late-night diner afterwards.

The next day I would take my friend to a nice sunny rooftop location and have a nice lunch. I love adventurous outings, so I’m always meeting different people that have similar interests.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my “Shoutout” to all of my amazing clients I have had the privilege of servicing throughout the years. I am thankful to my clients for allowing me the opportunity to transform their home spaces.

I would also like to dedicate this article to my Late Grandmother, Lucy Lee Lewis. My Grandmother was exceptionally pivotal in my upbringing. She was the true definition of grace, style and unconditional love.
