Meet Katie Linden | Holistic Nutritionist and Wellness educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Linden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katie, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
In the world of holistic nutrition and wellness, it can feel like a doctor, influencer, or practitioner has the absolute answer about what supplement to take or what protocol to follow. But in my experience—over 30 years—the science, research, and information are constantly changing. And more importantly, our biological individuality matters.
That’s why it’s so important to work with someone who understands that health is not one-size-fits-all. Not everyone needs to “detox” or go on an elimination diet. What matters is looking at your biology (labs), your history, and your lived experiences—and then building a plan from that angle.

What should our readers know about your business?
I bring a diverse background in the health and wellness field that reflects over 30 years of experience. My journey started with a BS in Exercise Science and Nutrition, teaching fitness classes, and working as a personal trainer. I completed an internship at the University of Chicago Medical Hospital in cardiac rehabilitation and later worked as a Physical Therapy assistant. Even early on, I was always drawn to the holistic side of prevention, the mind-body connection, and addressing root causes.
Later, I pursued a Master’s degree in Social Work at NYU and worked as a psychotherapist, helping clients navigate challenges like difficult transitions, domestic violence, addiction, and mental health struggles. My own health and fertility journey introduced me to non-toxic living, and I eventually moved into nutrition and therapeutic wellness coaching, specializing in holistic nutrition and mineral balancing.
Today, my work focuses on helping people identify and correct mineral deficiencies using functional labs such as Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA). From there, I design personalized protocols that connect mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to make nutrition and lifestyle changes approachable so people can experience lasting transformations in their energy, motivation, clarity, and joy.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This actually happened recently, and here’s what we did! We spent a full day at the Whitewater Center—perfect for my active girlfriends. We started with morning yoga, then went rafting, zip-lining, and across the hanging bridges. We ended the day with a sunset meal at home using fresh finds from the farmers market.
We also enjoyed dining at Speckled Pear in Fort Mill and Flour Shop in Myers Park, and had rooftop drinks at Restoration Hardware. Other favorites include walks at Anne Springs Greenway, shopping at Kingsley (Broadcloth Boutique), Apricot on Main Street in Fort Mill, and checking out Sycamore Brewery and nearby shops. One evening we had drinks at The Blue Door, which was such a fun spot.
Since I moved here from New York in 2021, I’m still exploring Charlotte and Uptown—but I love discovering new gems and can’t wait to see more!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people I’d love to recognize. Suzanne Hill of the Ohm Center in NYC, who brings incredible energy, spiritual knowledge and wisdom; Kendra Perry (and her other teachers) for her outstanding HTMA training and Masters program; and Jenn Payeur and Helen Armstrong from Divine Health Alliance in NC, who are doing transformative work in the holistic health space with plant stems cells and healing.
