Meet Kamilah Peebles Brathwaite | Realtor® & Global Relocation Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamilah Peebles Brathwaite and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kamilah Peebles, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I got into real estate because I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself—something that could change lives for the better. I didn’t want to be just another salesperson. I wanted to be a trusted advisor, a voice of clarity and honesty, someone who wouldn’t just sell but would fight for my clients’ best interests, whether they’re buying or selling.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m a Realtor® on a mission to help you find the space your best self was made to occupy and to create a seamless, stress-free experience, no matter how big or small the decision. As someone who combines data-driven decision-making with deep empathy, I can navigate the complex world of real estate with my clients every step of the way. I’m passionate about getting results—but also about making sure the process is educational, enjoyable, and tailored to their needs.
With years of experience in high-touch industries like luxury retail and operations management, I’ve honed the skills needed to develop creative solutions, handle challenges, and guide my clients to their best outcomes. I don’t just get them to the finish line—I make sure they feel confident, informed, and supported the whole way through.
Whether you’re buying your dream home or selling a property for top dollar, my commitment is to make this process as transparent, efficient, and fun as possible.
Why choose me over others? I’m not just here to help you buy or sell a home—I’m here to be your advocate and guide. I combine expert knowledge, years of experience, and data-driven strategies with a compassionate approach. Clients hire me because they know I’ll always have their best interests at heart, and I’ll fight for the best deal without the pressure of a typical “sales” mentality. You’ll get honesty, transparency, and a straightforward approach to real estate. Simply put, you get a professional who listens, understands, and delivers.
What makes me different? My superpower lies in balancing strategic thinking with a deep sense of empathy. I blend data and critical analysis to help you make the best decisions, while making sure you feel heard and supported. I don’t just give you a checklist of tasks—I create a tailored experience, treating your goals and challenges as unique, so we can find the best solutions for you. My background in operations, marketing, and customer service ensures that every detail of your transaction is handled with care and precision.
In my twenties, someone once told me, “Take care of your people and they will take care of you.” It is a philosophy that I have applied throughout my career and have found it to be true time and time again.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In the words of the Charlotte Regional Visitor’s Authority – Charlotte’s got a lot. https://www.charlottesgotalot.com
If someone were coming to stay for a week here’s the itinerary I would create for them:
Sunday – Travel day. Relax and get a good nights rest at a historic hotel like The Ivey’s or The Duke Mansion. Something more modern in mind? Try the Grand Bohemian or The Ritz Carlton. Dinner at Mico, Aria Tuscan Grill or the countless options of great dining in uptown Charlotte.
Monday – A morning walk at Freedom Park, lunch at Kid Cashew followed by a segway tour of Charlotte and shopping in SouthEnd. We’ll end the day with dinner and drinks at North Italia.
Tuesday- We’ll tour one of Charlotte’s two most well known lakes…Lake Norman and Lake Wylie. Start the day with a tour of Lake Norman’s stunning shoreline followed by a late lunch at the North Harbor Club. Spend time strolling the streets of historic downtown Davidson with dinner at the beloved Kindred. Alternatively, we’ll start the day with breakfast at Amelie’s French bakery then head out for an afternoon boat tour of Lake Wylie and dinner at Drift.
Wednesday-Arts & Culture day-check out the museum mile in Uptown with stops at The Mint Museum, The Harvey Gantt Center, and Bechtler Museum of Modern Art (be sure to get a selfie in front of the Phoenix). Grab lunch at Mariposa. We’ll catch a show at Belk or Knight Theater and Dinner at Fin & Fino afterwards.
Thursday-The U.S. National White Water Center-spend the day hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, rafting, grab lunch on site. After a hard day of playing we’ll grab pizza for dinner. I suggest Inizio’s pizza in Huntersville across from Birkdale Village. The pistachio pizza is a fav!
Friday- Spa day (you worked hard yesterday) We’ll head to the Ballantyne Resort and Spa for most of the day and roam around The Bowl in the evening to grab a bite, a glass of wine, maybe catch an outdoor concert or movie.
Saturday – Shopping at South Park Mall and Phillips Place, lunch on the patio at Reid’s Fine Foods. Sports event for the night- Charlotte Football Club, Carolina Panthers, NASCAR at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Charlotte Hornets, Charlotte Checkers, Charlotte Knights
Sunday – Let’s grab brunch at Napa on Providence before you head out to the airport.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My success wouldn’t be possible without the love and support of family, friends, and clients who continue to support me through repeat business and referrals.
