We had the good fortune of connecting with Kadejsha Riddles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kadejsha, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my business/career has taught me would be that you can literally touch the lives of many just by living yours. With everything I’ve gone through in business and my personal life … a beautiful story has been and is still being written. At this point in my life , with maturity I’ve taken different approaches this go round and to see the impact has truly been a blessing.

Please tell us more about your career. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Being a creative is a gift that chooses you. Being a creative & entrepreneur literally go hand in hand. I grew up with both parents being entrepreneurs. It was a beautiful thing to witness. They made it look easy even when facing challenges. It requires lots of discipline for sure. I didn’t discover this would be my path until 2017 but my whole life everyone around me already knew. Getting to where I am has come with lots of ups and downs, twists and turns, but most of all prayer and drive. My brand and I are set apart because of the love and virtue I pour into it as well as my clients. I want the world to know that it’s never too late to go after your dreams. Keep God first and press on!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Wilmington,NC we’d most definitely visit the beach most days. There’s multiple here. We’d go downtown for some good eats , events , sites ; etc. We’d visit the aquarium , maybe catch a Techmoja show at Thalian theatre or check out the mall. Overall we’d enjoy the outside and relax.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh sure! I’d love to dedicate this shoutout feature to my village! Without them (my mother , father , & brother) I wouldn’t be half of who I am today! I truly thank God for the unity we share. Secondly I’d like to give an honorable mention to my beautiful children , Ie’Lahni & Imaán. They literally gave my life new meaning and activated strength within me that I never knew existed. God gifted me two amazing blessings.
