We had the good fortune of connecting with Juliana Yasmine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Juliana, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be an inspiration—a source of joy, creativity, and light. I hope to challenge people to live their most authentic selves and embrace their unique journeys. I strive to be remembered as someone who listened deeply, offered selfless support in any way possible, and was always there when needed. Most of all, I want to be seen as a great friend—fun, uplifting, and full of genuine love for those around me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is an expression of storytelling through design, blending nature, fashion, and emotion into wearable pieces and visual concepts that speak to the soul. What sets me apart is my holistic approach—I strive to create not just art but experiences that inspire people to connect with their authentic selves. Each piece I create, whether it’s jewelry, clothing, or a styled concept, carries a narrative that is deeply personal to my journey through this life.

I am most proud of the way my art has evolved alongside me. From studying fashion in college, to being a self-taught herbalist and learning to run a small business, to curating collections for photoshoots, I’ve turned my passions into a cohesive vision. One of the most exciting aspects of my work is exploring new mediums and challenging myself to push creative boundaries—whether it’s through personal styling, art direction, or my own brand evolution.

Getting to where I am today has been far from easy. The journey has been filled with moments of doubt, financial struggles, and lessons in resilience. One of the biggest challenges was transitioning from a craft-based business to a more service-oriented and creative direction. I overcame these hurdles by staying adaptable, continuously learning, and focusing on building genuine connections with my audience. Letting go of perfectionism and embracing the value of small wins has been another key lesson.

Through it all, I’ve learned the importance of trusting the process, believing in my unique vision, and creating from a place of passion and purpose.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that everything I create comes from a place of love, curiosity, and the desire to empower others. My story is one of evolution and growth—proving that with perseverance and creativity, you can build something beautiful and meaningful that leaves a lasting impact.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d plan an unforgettable week in Raleigh doing something in nature, and also city slicking. I love a good hike at William B. Umstead State Park, and if the weather is right a picnic is always fun. My ultimate evenings would be listening to some live music at the Lincoln Theatre and grabbing a bite to eat from Fiction Kitchen. I always enjoy North Carolina Museum of Art and the CAM for artist inspirations. If I have my daughter with me a stroll through Pullen Park, ride on the train and playground time is always a blast.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, who has always challenged me to grow and evolve creatively and has believed in me every step of the way. His unwavering support has been life changing in my journey. I also want to give credit to *The Third Door* by Alex Banayan, a book that completely shifted my perspective and taught me that sometimes you have to create your own opportunities to succeed. Both have been incredible sources of inspiration and motivation in my story.
