Meet Jill Kalisiak | Commercial Real Estate Broker and Broker in Charge at Kalisiak Properties, Inc.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jill Kalisiak and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jill, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was fortunate to begin my career with commercial office furnishings Steelcase where I was afforded best in class learning and development opportunities. The 20 years I spent in the industry allowed me the privilege to partner with global corporate real estate teams at Fortune 500 organizations as well as immensely talents architects and designers. It ignited a passion for spaces and the people spend time in them but it was very demanding and involved a lot of travel. As a mom of three young boys, I wanted to leverage the experience and passion I had for people and place but also prioritize my family. 5 years ago I got my real estate license and was fortunate to have some great mentorship which allowed me to learn quickly from some of the top commercial brokers in the Triangle. I started Kalisiak Properties, Inc so that I could customize a strategic and consultative client experience and also attend and support my sons activities. I enjoy helping organizations and individuals purchase, sell, lease and invest in commercial real estate whether its an office, a retail space, warehouse space or land.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Kalisiak Properties, Inc. is a commercial real estate firm known for its exceptional service and expertise. I’ve built a strong reputation for its consultative approach to the client experience.

What sets me apart is dedication to understanding my clients’ unique needs and goals, taking the time to listen and tailor the experience to match each client’s specific requirements.

I’m most proud of the long-lasting relationships with my clients and the successful outcomes on thier behalf. I’m committed to excellence and integrity allows my clients to trust me and often return for future transactions and refer others to work with me.

My journey to success in commercial real estate has been marked by hard work, perseverance, and a passion for helping others succeed. I am dedicated to delivering exceptional results and committed to ensuring my clients enjoy what can be a stressful experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My family and I have a variety of favorite activities in area that we enjoy in our free time! I would take them golfing with us at MacGregor Downs Country Club and then Downtown Cary to check out the new park, grab a book from the library and a drink from Sidebar.

This area boast beautiful parks and nature reserves, perfect for outdoor activities like hiking and picnicking. My favorite spots include William B. Umstead State Park, The NC Art Museum and greenways, and Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve.

We have an abundance of restaurants offering everything from Southern comfort food to international cuisine. We enjoy local restaurants such as Tazza Kitchen, Peck and Plume, Pros Epicurian and Scratch followed by Carolina Crunch ice cream at Fresh.

I enjoy live music at our local venues and theater at DPAC along attending concerts at the Red Hat Amphitheater, art walks in downtown Raleigh, or performances at the Koka Booth Amphitheater.

We have wonderful historic sites and landmarks to explore. Some of my favorites include Historic Yates Mill County Park, Mordecai Historic Park, and the North Carolina Museum of History.
If time allowed I would drive over to Wrightsville beach for the day and have dinner downtown Wilmington, a family fav!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Kip has been a huge support and cheerleader for my business. His civil engineering and owners advisor experience is an asset to my clients as it relates to land and development. My sons Cennoth, Rowan and Merritt are always happy to lend a hand when Kalisiak Properties needs one. My mentor Greg and my assistant Heather are a source of great ideas. I am lucky to partner with so many other great brokers to serve our clients and grateful to so many residential agents who trust me to guide their clients through a commercial transaction, especially those at Caul Group. The best part about my role at Kalisiak Properties is my clients who allow me behind the scenes access to their business, their goals and their dreams in order to achieve their real estate plans and are then kind enough to tell someone they know they had a great experience.
