Meet Jeremy Powell | CEO of Powell Productions – DJ Stacks

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Powell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeremy, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from a small town outside of Graham, North Carolina named Saxapahaw. Back in the 1990’s and early 2000’s this is where not only my family but other families came together during the fourth of July for food laughs and the music, my uncle Junbug, was the our DJ! To see him setting up his equipment you just knew that it was about to be a good time, good vibes and a good night! Watching him transition from song to song, hearing the different melodies and tempo’s within the songs, and seeing the people so happy and dancing, laughing because a particular song has return a memory to them from their past. I knew in my early teens I wanted to be a DJ.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets apart is the detail that we put in with our clients when it comes to their music, based on the type of event that it is, being professional with each and every client we’re in contact with. One thing I’m excited for Powell Productions, is the other avenues that were currently creating within, being able to offer photography and one day in the near future videography, and more ideas that are being put in place for 2025. I will say everything has not been easy but yet it has been fun, each event is different and sometimes small hurdles to jump within those events, I have never been one to think I knew it all, always being a spong to learn and grown from setbacks and mistakes, also being a helping hand to other DJs or anyone if I can be.
What I want the world to know Our duty is to make sure your event is professionally done to the clients specifics and also a memorable experience.
We look to providing the very best In professional mobile music services. weddings, corporate events and class reunions. And providing experiences for all of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, the DMV and Georgia.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m more of a home body when I’m not working but The Lounge in Burlington NC, is a great spot for good drinks and wings and to dance a little, also look for the bartender Brett Cooley Jones, she’s great!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
