Meet Jasmine Encarnacion | Worship Leader/ Gospel Artist/Singer & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Encarnacion and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and brand, is God and family! That is the strongest foundation, I believe one should have. Without God, I am nothing. Without God, I wouldn’t carry the level of anointing that I do and in return, that wouldn’t mean anything for my brand. My brand is about me changing lives through the ministry of worship and song. Family is a HUGE factor in my success and brand, because they are apart of who I am. My husband, John, pushes and supports me like no other. Without him, Jasmine E. Ministries wouldn’t be as successful as it is. I thank God for family.
 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am PROUDLY a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I get to minister through song and it fulfills me. I believe my anointing and boisterous approach while singing, sets me apart. I got to where I am today, by not quitting. When no one believed in, when I didn’t believe in myself, when there were no connections, no ministry opportunities/gigs, no money to pay for studio time, or even money to have gas to get to the studio, I DIDN’T quit. I had so much music that the Lord downloaded into my spirit, and I knew that I wouldn’t be fulfilled until I released it. Was it easy? NO. Is it easy? NO.

The Bible tells us in John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

I would rest in that. If God has already overcome the world, surely It won’t always be like this. Surely, I will overcome this.
You have to feed your spirit when natural things arise, because if don’t, you will unintentionally feed your flesh and that will overtake you.

I have story, like many of you. Some parts of my story are ugly and some are beautiful. God has used every flaw, every ounce of joy, every loss, and every gain, for his glory!

I want to encourage you to get mad enough of the devil and GO AFTER ALL GOD HAS FOR YOU! Use your story as your testimony and build!

When you see me on the stage ministering and I seem a little undignified or you see my crying in total surrender, it’s real. Everything I have and am, belongs to the Lord!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is great. I AM A FOODIE!!! So we will definitely eat! I am outgoing, I love the outdoors, and I love FOOD! Ok, so here it is:
Sunday – We will be at The Praising Place for Sunday service and the head on over to Island Flavors for some good Carribean food.
Monday, we’d hike up Crowders Mountain then head to YAFO for some good Mediterranean food.
Tuesday, we’d grab some Tacos at Cabo Fish Tacos in the Noda District
Wednesday, we will probably make a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich at the house and then prepare for mid-week service at church!
Thursday and Friday we would find something fun to do with the kiddos.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to shout out a few people! Husband – John has been a vital component to the success of some of my greatest moments in my career. He’s made countless sacrifices to feed Jasmine E. Ministries and to help continue further the Kingdom of God. He’s sent long nights with me in the studio, building new music, planning events, preparing for services. He’s never complained. He’s been my unsung hero.
Pastor – Bishop Roy Tucker, The Praising Place Church. My Pastor has relentlessly pushed me. He’s been our spiritual covering for over 10 years, and he’s the reason I serve the way that I do. I have grown spiritually sitting under his teaching and was the first one that took a chance on me and allowed me to serve as the Worship Leader over our Praise and Worship Team. He’s watched me fall, and has nurtured me back to life, spiritually. The ministry that you see today, is a product of The Praising Place Church.
Mentor/Friend- Marsha Cox has been not only a friend, but she’s that little LOUD voice from God, that has stayed in my ear, and wouldn’t let me give up! I can’t say much about my journey, without including her. She has served as a friend, mentor, prayer warrior and sister in Christ, in my life for years! Thank you Marsha for your mentorship, love and encouragement.
