We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamil and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamil, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our success and the success of our brand is making connections, we believe the best part is being able to work and connect with so many talented individuals, clients and other photographers and videographers, learn from them and to share experiences together. Also about building a strong connection with each client, creating a comfortable environment that allow us to capture the true nature and beauty of life, important moments and memories through our photography and videography.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our path started working with the Hispanic community in Charlotte and we continue to do so, we have created a Freestyle League called “Flow Masters” this league organizes and creates Hip Hop/Rap events for the Hispanic Scene in North Carolina, Atlanta, South Carolina, Virginia and other states. We have worked with very talented artists and great people. It has not been easy to organize these events and not everyone is available all the time or willing to work with you especially at the beginning, but we continue to work on our people and our events to give everyone a great time and of course expose our local talent. We will have a Regional for KDC (KingDeCiuda) an international Salvadorian rap tournament, with the support and presence of Red Bull in our events and collaborating with us we have gotten to a great moment and we hope to keep this momentum and continue to elevate our Charlotte music and art scene.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a good question, we love going out to eat and visit new places in the Charlotte area, one of our favorite spots and actual host for some of our Flow Masters events in the past is Camp North End. Camp North End offers great places for pictures, videos (great for photo shoots) and it has great restaurants with a lot of different options from Ice Cream to Arepas. If they are here during Soccer season we’d recommend going to a Charlotte FC game, they are a lot of fun, people are great and SO into it, just a great feeling to see the energy of the Bank Of America Stadium. Definitely come by to one of our events, they are full of great singers, performers and if you speak Spanish you can win Cash Prizes and compete against the best.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to shoutout our friends and family that were there to support out business from day 1, it gives you an extra when people that you care about care about your work. We’d like to recommend as well Daniel Arnold, from Sevens Productions who was also giving us constant advice and tips to get better, definitely check his work out!
And last but not least, all the photographers, videographers, artists, models, that we have worked with in the past, is definitely a great feeling to know that new generations are also trying to get out there, publish their work, invest on their image and make money out of their passion.
