Meet J. Edwards Holt | Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with J. Edwards Holt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi J. Edwards, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a career in writing because I am passionate about storytelling and expressing ideas in a compelling way. I believe in the power of narratives to inspire, provoke thought, and evoke emotions, and I am driven by the desire to share unique perspectives and insights with the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an author of fantasy fiction, mostly in the young adult category. I’m commonly known for telling stories that are described as timeless tales of wonder and magic with messages relevant to the modern world. I’m very excited, not only about the books I’ve written, but also about the projects I have in the works right now. I have several stories I’m developing and two books I’m working on, hopefully to release next year.

Getting to where I am professionally was definitely not as easy task. I like to think that everything I’ve experienced and seen in my life has brought me to where I am now. That includes the good times and the bad! The good times remain as great memories, while some bad times have served as valuable lessons going forward.

I want the whole world to know about my books. I want to be a household name in literature, and most importantly I want my stories to entertain and inspire people across generations. I’m tang idyl for all the feedback I’ve received this far and I look forward to much more in the future!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
That’s a tough one! There’s so much to do around here. Personally, I enjoy and occasional visit to one of the local malls or parks. The malls are great for indoor exploration and exercise while the parks are perfect for outdoors. When it comes to restaurants I enjoy the Metro Diner — and my favorite of all is Milton’s! I LOVE Milton’s pizza and I have yet to find anyone who can make it better. There’s also usually something interesting going on at the fairgrounds, and there are a ton of great movie theaters around town. Aside from that, I’ve always wanted to try out Dave and Buster’s!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m very thankful to my family and friends for all the support they’ve given me on my author journey. From day one, they’ve stood behind me and encouraged me to follow my dream no matter what. I also can’t go without giving a shoutout to all my readers and fans. Without their feedback, I wouldn’t do what I do.
