We had the good fortune of connecting with Isabelle Hamm and Bryton Thieman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isabelle Hamm and Bryton Thieman, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our thought process when joining my parent’s company, JandJFrenchies LLC, was that we were both really intrigued by breeding French Bulldogs and saw how much our parent’s enjoyed doing it. When they approached us with the idea of getting our first girl Finola Quinn, which we would “co-own” together, we were ecstatic. We were beyond excited to learn more about the business as we both had a passion for dogs and being able to connect people with their new family members!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our business is JandJFrenchies LLC. Both Bryton and myself help my parents breed French Bulldogs. We strive to be ethical breeders, and produce top quality Frenchies. Although we have only been doing this for a year now, we have learned so much about the business! We have our own Instagram page, JandJFrenchies_Isabelle.Bryton, that we are able to post about our two girls Finola Quinn and Freya. We are also able to help promote our parent’s new litters of puppies, and it has been great being able to connect families with their new family member, as well as connect with other breeders!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We are located in Raleigh, North Carolina. There is so much to do here! Raleigh has tons of parks and really cool museums such as the Museum of Natural Sciences that we would definitely recommend to anyone coming to visit! We also love how diverse Raleigh’s food scene is and always enjoy getting authentic cuisine. We are also so lucky to be right near three major universities: UNC, Duke, and NC State, and we would recommend visiting their campuses!

We would love to shoutout and give recognition to Isabelle’s parents, Jon and Julie Hamm. They are the founders of JandJFrenchies LLC and gave us the opportunity to join the family business. Without them, we would not have the knowledge and support that we have today! They have been there to always answer our questions and give us advice throughout this journey.
