Hi Haywood, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Haywood Craig, also known as LamarioStar, has achieved remarkable success as a millionaire, excelling not only as a general contractor and real estate developer but also as a professional recording artist signed to major labels such as Cash Money Records, Interscope Records, Def Jam, Think It’s a Game Records, Freebandz, Porter House Music Group, Atlantic Records, and currently ROC Nation. His journey began at the age of 13, inspired by his father, Earl Craig, a general contractor who founded a company in 1977. Although he did not complete high school, he pursued carpentry through Job Corps and later served in the Navy as a Seabee, where he also held the role of Builder. After leaving the military, he obtained his General Contractor license in 2012 and established a business with his former wife, ultimately becoming the owner of Royal Builders Group LLC, which operates in five states. While serving, he also earned a four-year degree in construction management from Elizabeth City State University, where he played football. Now 35, he resides in North Carolina, concentrating on his entrepreneurial ventures, new home construction, and preparing for his upcoming tour in early 2025

With the support of his dedicated team, including Tarelle Summers, Willie Smith, Johnny Sherrod, and Tcherlindra Bonner, he effectively manages his daily responsibilities while pursuing his musical ambitions. This strong support system allows him the freedom to focus on creating the next hit that his audience eagerly anticipates.

Haywood Craig, also known as LamarioStar, frequently visits Level Seven Rooftop Bar in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a general contractor and entrepreneur, he often conducts business meetings and negotiations there, or simply enjoys the ambiance to unwind after a long day of strategizing and managing his various ventures and investments.

Additionally, he appreciates his team at Roc Nation Records, highlighting Rel Carter, his A&R representative who signed him, Dessi Nitti, his consultant, and his road manager from South Carolina, who handles bookings. He also recognizes Patrick Norman, the general manager based in Miami, and Shontell Cox, known as Shontell the Bombshell, the first lady of his label, 800 the Label, located in Atlanta, Georgia.
