Meet Grady | Musician & Allrdy Clothing brand owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Grady and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Grady, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
It was something always embedded in me, from my early days as a kid just riding with my father listening soul music, to my grandfather’s juke joint playing all the beautiful blues and oldies. I pursue it because it’s how I express myself through my art, I always say life is art and art imitates life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a poet first, hip hop artist second lol. I always think authenticity sets most of us apart, you know like do really have a passion for this and it’s been plenty of times I could of just gave up, but the music is truly therapeutic to my soul. It’s never easy, and most times seems impossible but one thing I know nothing comes to a dreamer except a few more hours of sleep, gotta jump out there. The lessons I’ve learned are, things are never as simple as they seem and if it’s to good to be true, it isn’t. I want to world to know not only am I an artist I also have a clothing brand on the rise, Allrdy Clothing, which means simply it’s more than a brand it’s a state a mind, stay on point Allrdy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the museums in Raleigh, Gotta hit the ville(Fayetteville), I’m a country dude to a degree gotta take through my city, visit some old restaurants like Sherry’s Bakery, nothing to major

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family and friends, my music brothers peety smooth, Jamaal Matters,King Ant, The Carter#RIP, Merritt Baker, my brother jinx, #dodgecity, Lexington ky, ND, my brother Obvious, my uncle Reggie, unk Todd Blaze, they’ve all been vital to a brother Dunn~NC
