Meet Gabe Ben-Or | Owner and Licensed Home Inspector

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabe Ben-Or and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabe, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think there are several factors that contribute to our success. I began in this industry over 20 years ago starting my own construction company. I believe having a GC license and over 15 years of building experience gives me a different perspective when inspecting homes.

When I decided to start home inspections 8 years ago, I wanted to join a franchise with a reputable brand standard. Once I met with Pillar to Post Home Inspectors, I knew it was a perfect fit. We strive to be extremely detail oriented and informative to our clients.

But most importantly, we have an incredible team. Both our office staff and inspectors are incredible and truly take pride in their work.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think what sets us apart is the type of services we provide for our clients and agents. We offer several different inspection packages which include infrared cameras, virtual tours, and measured floorplans. Along with that, we also offer many added services like radon monitoring, termite inspections, mold inspections, water quality testing, and septic inspections. One our newest services is PTP Connects which helps clients transfer all their services (electric, gas, utilities, etc) to their new address.

Starting a business is never easy and growing a business is even harder. I was lucky enough to be in the construction industry prior to home inspections, so I had several contacts to start me off on the right foot. The toughest part is finding good employees who care about our team as much as I do. Thankfully, my team is amazing and truly wants what’s best for the client, agent, and our team.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We are a hockey family with a 7 yr old boy that plays in the Canes house league. Usually when guests come, we go to a Carolina Hurricanes game. If we’re looking to go out for dinner, there are many options downtown, North Hills, or in Fenton to name a few. Most of my friends always want to try out Carolina BBQ, so we always end up going to The Pit. For a good dinner or drinks, we also enjoy Barcelona on downtown Raleigh.

Summertime we head to Carolina Beach for fun on the beach with family, friends, and dogs!
