Meet Felicia Bittle

We had the good fortune of connecting with Felicia Bittle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Felicia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting FABstyles wasn’t just a career move—it was a calling, born from a moment of truth. I had spent years in a successful career, but deep down, I felt unfulfilled. I was going through the motions—accomplishing, performing—but not aligning with what truly lit me up. I knew there had to be more than checking boxes. I wanted to do something that not only brought me joy but also made a real impact.
Styling has always been something I’ve loved—ever since I was a little girl. I just didn’t realize it could actually be a career. From helping friends get dressed to creating outfits in my head, it came naturally to me. It wasn’t until much later that I recognized styling as more than a talent—it was a gift I could use to empower others.
That’s when I began to notice something deeper: so many women around me were walking into rooms second-guessing themselves—not just in style, but in confidence. I understood that feeling because, in many ways, I was hiding behind expectations too. That realization pushed me to start something bold. I wanted to build a business that would help women see themselves the way I saw them: powerful, unique, and worthy of showing up fully.
FABstyles became more than styling. It became a movement—a safe, affirming space where women could reconnect with their image, their confidence, and their voice. My goal has never been just about clothes—it’s about transformation. When a woman feels good about how she shows up, it changes how she leads, how she speaks, and how she lives.
And I wanted to be a part of that change.
What should our readers know about your business?
FABstyles, LLC is more than just a styling business—it’s a movement built on empowerment, transformation, and authenticity. I specialize in helping women elevate their wardrobes and image so that their outer appearance aligns with their inner power. Whether it’s a photoshoot, branding session, closet detox, or a red-carpet-worthy moment, I bring a personalized, intentional approach to styling that’s rooted in confidence-building—not trends.
What sets me apart is my ability to see beyond the clothes. I style with purpose. My clients often come to me feeling stuck, bored with their wardrobe, or unsure of how to express their evolving identity. I don’t just put outfits together—I help women rediscover themselves. That transformation, that spark, is what I’m most proud of.
Getting here wasn’t easy. I launched FABstyles while working a full-time job and juggling personal life, all while building a brand from the ground up. There were moments of self-doubt, slow seasons, and learning curves. But I leaned into the challenges and let every no teach me something new. I stayed consistent, even when the outcomes didn’t come immediately.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that your gift will always make room for you—but only if you’re willing to show up, serve, and do the work. I also learned to trust my instincts. In fashion, intuition is everything—and so is staying true to your vision when others don’t quite see it yet.
What I want the world to know is this: FABstyles is about more than fashion. It’s about helping women show up fully, fiercely, and fearlessly. It’s personal. Every client I serve is a walking billboard for what’s possible when you invest in yourself.
FABstyles isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without question, I owe a major part of my journey to the incredible women who poured into me long before FABstyles was born. First, I dedicate my shoutout to my late grandmother, Sadie Bell—whose legacy of strength, elegance, and quiet grace continues to inspire everything I do. She is the heart behind my “Sadie’s Baby” Endowment at NC A&T State University.
I also want to recognize two phenomenal mentors, Sonya Barnes and Hade Robinson, who believed in me, challenged me, and helped me see the bigger picture of the work I do. Their guidance has been instrumental to my growth as a business owner and woman.
To my clients-turned-cheerleaders, my Delta Sigma Theta sorors, my Links Incorporated sisters and my powerful village of sisters and supporters—you keep me grounded and uplifted.
Lastly, a huge shoutout to Shonda Rhimes’ book Year of Yes for giving me the push to stop shrinking and start saying “yes” to every opportunity that aligned with who I was becoming.
FABstyles wouldn’t be what it is without the community that believes in me.
