Meet Erin Wallen | Advanced Certified Stress Freedom Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Wallen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly, I never planned to start a business. I always say I was my own first client. After burning out as a clinical pharmacist, I was desperate to figure out how to manage my stress and just feel better. Through a lot of trial and error, I slowly found tools that actually worked—things that felt like magic because they made such a big difference in my life. I kept going because I wanted more of that ease, more of that alignment. And once I saw how good it could really feel, I couldn’t not share it. I knew other women needed to know this was possible for them too.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My work is all about helping women shine their light and go after their biggest dreams—but in a way that actually feels good in their body and life. What really sets my work apart is how much I center the nervous system. It’s a fancy term, but really, we’re talking about stress. So many of us are taught that big goals require hustle, pushing, and constant efforting—but what I’ve learned, both personally and professionally, is that when we push too hard, we actually activate stress responses that make it harder to get where we want to go.
What I teach instead is how to find that sweet spot—how to recognize the moment just before stress kicks in, and how to come back to that optimal zone with simple, powerful tools. This doesn’t just help with work and productivity, but with relationships, presence, and how you feel in your everyday life.
Getting to where I am now has been far from easy. Like many women, I had to unlearn a lot—especially the belief that everything worth having has to come through struggle. There have definitely been challenges, but I’ve learned to meet resistance with curiosity instead of fear. I see resistance as an invitation to grow, and I try to lead with that mindset in everything I do. I don’t claim that this work is easy—but I do believe we can do hard things with more ease.
At the end of the day, I want the world to know that you don’t have to burn yourself out to create something beautiful. You can feel good, be present, and stay aligned—with your work, your purpose, and your people.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d plan a week that felt like the perfect mix of relaxation, connection, nature, and amazing food—basically all my favorite things. First stop would be a spa day at Rock Barn Spa to unwind and kick things off with a little luxury and deep rest.
We’d spend time outdoors—walking the greenway or the riverwalk—and maybe even take a yoga class outside somewhere.. I’d make sure we stop by the The Market for some local shopping, and we’d definitely grab a loaf of sourdough and some of those incredible brown butter cookies from Fort Mill Sourdough.
For meals, we’d rotate between cozy favorites and fun outings—dinner at Webb’s Custom Kitchen (my favorite restaurant!), lunch at Optimist Hall, maybe an evening at Ballantyne Bowl, and of course, ice cream at Whits for something sweet. Also would make sure to grab takeout at Emilios and Illios!
At some point shopping at Birkdale Village.
It would really be a week of presence, joy, self-care, and delicious little moments—just the way I like to live life.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oh wow—this list is long! I honestly believe we’re at our best when we’re around others who are also shining their light, and I’ve been really intentional about surrounding myself with those kinds of people. I’ve been supported, stretched, and inspired by so many—mentors, friends, clients, colleagues, coaches, and community members, both locally and virtually. Whether it was someone holding space for me, offering encouragement, or simply showing me what’s possible by living in alignment themselves—they’ve all been part of this journey. I wouldn’t be here without those connections, and I’m so grateful for every one of them.
