Hi DY-Nasty, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The amount of money & relationships it take to break an artist and how frustrating it become breaking a record

 

What should our readers know about your business?
Well I own 2 different business, both are music related. 1st is PMC Broadcasting LLC Dba Hot97.9 FM, its a urban radio station black owned that cover Raleig-Durham NC and we are #1 in streets, putting a market beating on the more corporate radio station with Young Joc morning show featuring Shawdy Shawdy Miss Shyneka Bernie Oh and DJ Savvy. Then from 10am-3pm middays its Pistol Posh, Then me DY-Nasty in the afternoons from 3pm-6pm, we have 6 mixshow DJs plus Party Boy, Kspice & CoCo Filipina on the weekends our site is www.hot979nc.com, Next is my records label Hazardous Records “Hazardous” we been signed to Asylum, 300 Ent, Waner bros, we currently distrubited by Universal Music group our artist line up is SouthSide Heat, and Crosstown Beezy. Im in the process now of putting my album project together title “Fire Star” I got feat from Dj Khaled, Jim Jone, Luke nasty and more!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
1st we would probly eat at PF Changs witch is my favorite, and hit up Lees Kitchen also. Then we stop by frankies for go-kart racing and video games! Then end it off at Raleigh Outside Complex for drinks and little bit parting!

Maaaaaan yes! I want to shout my parnters “R” and Delores, Hot 97.9 FM staff & the entire Hazardous Crosstown Beezy, Southside Heat, Joe Wunstop, Will Metty, Big League, Emar. Also my Kids Selia & Ilyas Powell
