We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Timogi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Timogi, is there something you believe many others might not?
“Fake it until you make it.” This advice is fraudulent. It’s a crime against ones self worth and lacks integrity. Instead, I say “Learn it so you can earn it.” Information is at our fingertips, access it for your well being and not just for entertainment. Being “fake” is internal poison. It erodes ones genuine worth. The time and energy it takes to fake it is better spent investing in becoming a better version of your true self.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

I am the CEO of Create & Facilitate, LLC, a North Carolina HUB Certified customized Training Solutions Agency. We focus on industry-specific, research-driven training and development for government, higher education, corporate, and non-profit sectors.

What sets us apart is our dedication to understanding your organization’s genuine challenges upfront. Through our TAP (Teach, Apply, and Practice) approach, we craft training directly addressing your specific needs, rather than offering generic solutions. We excel in solving real, tangible issues, ensuring your team’s professional growth when they use the tools we provide.

Moreover, we handle every aspect of training—from preparation to facilitation—whether it’s virtual or in-person, providing a seamless experience for your organization.

My journey to entrepreneurship has been marked by perseverance and a commitment to learning. Initially limited in resources, I prioritized investing in knowledge once I could afford it. Attending conferences and engaging reputable coaches allowed me to refine my methods and approach to business building.

My motivation for founding a customized training solutions organization stems from firsthand experience across various sectors. Having encountered numerous uninspiring and ineffective training programs, I made it my mission to offer a people-centric, engaging alternative.

The three key lessons I aim to impart to every entrepreneur are to seek mentorship, prioritize continuous learning, and maintain perseverance!

Create & Facilitate embodies a commitment to rehumanizing human resources, recognizing individuals within your organization as people, not just roles. Our training approach goes beyond skill development to foster holistic growth and connection to the people who make your organization a success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

We’d start our days at Lake Thomalex, a tranquil oasis where the morning mist dances on the water’s surface. With the warmth of the rising sun enveloping us, we’d offer silent prayers for the day ahead, feeling connected to something greater.

As the day unfolds, we’d venture into downtown Lexington, with its charming streets lined with historic buildings and bustling with local energy. Our first stop would be Lou Lou’s Seafood, a cozy spot known for its delicious fare. Over lunch, we’d savor every bite while soaking in the rhythm of downtown.

Energized and ready for more exploration, we’d make our way to Uptown Lexington, where the aroma of freshly baked treats from Red Donuts lures us in. With a box of delectable delights in hand, we’d then drive to Evanbrooke, where hidden treasures await discovery at every turn.

But our adventures wouldn’t stop there. We’d spend the afternoon soaking up the sunshine at High Rock Lake, reflecting as the sun dips below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the water.

And of course, no visit to Lexington would be complete without a visit to the Habitat Restore, where the thrill of uncovering a hidden gem amidst the eclectic array of goods never fails to delight. Along the way, I’d introduce you to my neighbors – a diverse and welcoming bunch who embody the true spirit of southern hospitality.

We’d make a final stop at the Candy Factory for some old-fashioned sweets and Black Chicken Coffee for a caffeine boost to fuel our journey home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are too many people who invested in me to get to where I am today. I have friends of over 30 years and new friends too! However, if not for my mother, Christy, I would not have been able to go back to school, earn my degrees, and raise my children while going through a divorce. To my daughter, Tishana who saw the tears I tried to hide, thank you for learning this lesson; my issues are not your issues and thus is carving her own beautiful path in life.
