We had the good fortune of connecting with Diego Rodrigues and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diego, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have a degree in business and early in life I realized that I wasn’t born to have a 9 to 5 and I needed a creative outlet to express myself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Film is the art of creating everlasting moments. I take pride in documenting the most important moment in someone else’s life and the thought that my documentation of this day will outlast generations makes it worthwhile.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Classic quote of native Raleigh residents: “We’re two hours from the beach and two hours from the mountains”. I would take my best friend to restaurants and bars around Downtown, mountains and waterfalls in Asheville and finally the Beaches around Wilmington.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
While I never paid for formal education I took the initiative to educate myself using all the resources available online when I was starting out (Youtube tutorials/classes and blogs
