We had the good fortune of connecting with Dero Quenson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dero, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Impact. As a musician, or any creative I’ve always found it important to be mindful of what you say. So happens, my creative outlet is creating music, which using my words in fact is very powerful. When I started taking music serious, I went through a transformative moment in my life in which I was able to create a label and not only just that, but something meaningful. Something relatable.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Visual art is what I believe sets me apart. I truly practice the craft of bring visual pieces to the music. Music is the first step but filming/music videos take it to another level. angles, color grading, focal lengths etc. all make or break the art, but is only enhanced when combined. Filming is my second love next to creating music, and I’m one and the few who work on both as passionately as I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Given that I’m bit of a loner haha, honestly something really chill. We could eat something quick, or if the day is nice some place more rewarding. I love deep conversations with a good friend, catch up on the time lost, take a walk outside. Being in solitude while in company is heaven on earth.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Thank you to my friends/family. They know exactly who they are, family is anyone I feel connected to. Blood or not, without the love and support I wouldn’t be as confident or determined. My mother has always instilled into me, whatever you do, be the best at it.
