We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Pennington and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Princeton, West Virginia, a small town at the southernmost point of the state. Growing up there, I was surrounded by some of the hardest-working, most loyal people you could ever meet—folks who would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it.
That sense of community shaped me in so many ways. Hard work, reliability, and genuine care for others weren’t just values we talked about—they were part of everyday life. Those lessons have stayed with me and are a big part of who I am today. They guide me in both my personal & professional life.
What should our readers know about your business?
As I look back on my career and the path that brought me to where I am today, I’m reminded of the incredible people and experiences that have shaped my journey. Over the past decade, I’ve worked hard to hone my craft in the insurance industry, and it’s been an adventure filled with lessons, challenges, and rewarding moments.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the team I’ve built. They’re more than just coworkers—they’ve become family. Seeing them thrive and succeed reminds me why I do what I do. It’s not just about running a business; it’s about creating an environment where people can grow and succeed together.
The road here hasn’t been easy, and I’ve learned the value of persistence. When I set my mind to something, I give it my all until I achieve it. One of the most important lessons I’ve picked up along the way is this: Take control of your day, or it will take control of you. That mindset has been a game-changer for me.
For me, it’s also about the relationships I’ve built. My office is focused on more than just providing services—we take the time to educate and connect with our customers. We strive to be good neighbors and trusted partners in our community. This ties back to my small-town roots, where relationships and looking out for one another were a way of life.
If there’s one message to share with others, it’s this: I’m a small-town girl with big dreams, and I’m still dreaming. If I can turn those dreams into reality, so can you.
I’m grateful for every lesson, every challenge, and every person who has been part of this journey. Here’s to continuing to grow and make a difference—both for my team and for the community we serve.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d pack their trip with the best of the area! We’d start with breakfast at Famous Toastery, followed by a stroll through Crooked Creek Park to enjoy the outdoors. Lunch would be at Rock Store BBQ for their amazing pulled pork and sides. In the afternoon, we’d explore Downtown Matthews to explore the local shops. For dinner, we’d head to Seaboard in Matthews for wine & artisan pizza, then end the day with laughs at The Comedy Zone in Charlotte. A perfect mix of food, fun, and local charm!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my husband, Ben. He has supported me through every chapter of growth in my adult life and has been the foundation of stability in our household, giving me the opportunity to achieve the goals I’ve set for myself. I also want to recognize my mother, Michelle, and my father, Paul, for raising me to be the independent and strong-willed woman I am today.
