Meet Danielle Clardy | Podcast Host & Producer, Content Creator, and Social Media Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Clardy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
If I had a crystal ball in my hands and saw the future, this is what I would imagine. The end goal is to have my agency or company, however you want to label it. A full-service agency doing social media for a variety of clients as well as production assistance, podcast production, and more, with my own personal brand, podcast, and YouTube underneath that umbrella.
Professionally being out on my own and allowing for more creativity is where I want to operate. I love working with a variety of clients and learning from each one.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a very hands-on person. I love to actually sit down with people for podcast recordings or new clients. Be face-to-face with people and get work done that way. I feel there is more collaboration there and more gets done that way. I am most proud of the steady work that has been happening. I am all about consistency and making sure that I can stand something up that will last a long time.
It has not been a smooth road at all! There are bumps along the way almost every single day and items on the to-do list that don’t get crossed off every day. Things you thought were going to succeed didn’t, pitches sent that you a no back or no answer at all, and more. I am a one-woman show and I run a podcast, YouTube Channel, blog site, three Instagram accounts, two TikTok accounts, a Facebook page, a LinkedIn page, and a Twitter account.
I have learned to be practical while still shooting for the stars. One of the biggest bumps for me is that there are always things that I want to do, people I want to feature or talk to, growing my channels, etc. but it doesn’t happen overnight. I just try to stay positive and keep looking at the bigger picture of what I want to do professionally.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh jeez! I am a big sports girl so depending on the time of the year, I am lining up a Carolina Hurricanes game, an NC State Football or Basketball game (Go Pack!), a Durham Bulls game, etc. We are incredibly lucky to have some of the best sports teams and rivalries happening here in our very city.
For food, we are checking to see if there is a Food Truck Rodeo happening in Downtown Raleigh. They have one every season and it is a true food fest with live music. Best steak – The Angus Barn and during Christmas it is magical. Take in a beautiful day, sunset, and night stargazing at The Willard Rooftop Restaurant. Pick up a pizza from Oakwood Pizza Box. Grab some tacos and Gonza Tacos y Tequila.
For going out, walk up and down Glenwood Avenue to take in the nightlife and pick a bar to hang out at. And oh don’t get me started on dessert at Two Roosters Ice Cream or Cinnaholic or Lucettegrace. We are surrounded by live music constantly happening at PNC Arena or Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. We now have a yearly music festival that comes right into the heart of Downtown Raleigh with the Hopscotch Music Festival.
Some of the coolest and most diverse boutiques and shopping in Downtown Raleigh with So & So Books, Edge of Urge, Unlikely Professionals, Urban Pothos Houseplant Shop, and more. Even head over to Village District to walk around for a shopping and food combo.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh boy! I have had the support of a lot of people. Starting off with my parents and family. My parents always wanted us to do what we loved and chase our passions. My family has always been my biggest supporter being at every event, reading, watching, and listening to everything I have ever worked on, and more.
As I have gotten further along in my career, I have to give a shoutout to someone who has been a mentor to me, Megan Torres. She was someone who took a chance on me and taught me a lot while keeping my curiosity and creativity active. There is always a follow-up question to push me and I value every conversation I have with her.
I always have to give a shoutout to every single guest on my podcast, The Conversation Series, because they took a chance and agreed to come on a very young and new podcast that has continued to evolve.
