Meet Crystal Richardson | Designer, Promoter and Massage Therpist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I went to school for fashion and retail management. I was working at jiffy lube at the time and wanted to do more with my degree. First most of my designs are on paper and not made. I start back sewing and with the help from my business partners. We came up with Sweetriches I develop new roles in my business. Promoter, Designer, Event coordinator for my own shows and booking my clients that are on my team. My mom started a non profit organization for the community. I wanted to do the same and help, Im very resourceful with information that people need to use to get ahead.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Sweetriches Here Im free spirit person I bring a bright energy to a person. I have a bubbly hippy vibe about me. I take risk, I believe anything is possible with no excuses. Im very resourceful if you feel stuck or need a push Im your women. I proud of my team they teach me everyday. I have this prideful trait where if I dont do it, it won’t get done. My team helps me see that we need to move together to build a empire. Professionally I watched my mom stayed around people that are already in a bigger position then me. I did my research went to seminars etc. I went to college for fashion and retail management. I love to network and go to events to meet new people.
Im strong head alot. I just learning to pace myself not to go ahead and make decisions without going thur. Known sometimes I’ll go for broke to see how it go. Sometimes it works other times it dont. So now I cant go for anything had to collectively know the outcome. Get your money up front, Networking is key, Dont fall for the okiey dokie trust your gut, If you never try your never know. Nothing is impossible.
My brand is one of a kind with design’s, promotion, youth program, items for sale. I provide a one stop shop to help build our youth expand their future.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well….. I like adventure and networking. The first couple days I will take them easy. That them to a my favorite place Moes to eat and drink. I usually have schooled of things to do throughout the week. I take them to meet my team downtown wilson nc to see the shop and studio. I will take them to see our art gallery in emporia va. Hit some showcases to have a networking time. Meet new people do some karaoke etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to recognize my mother Charlene Falls Im the only child so it was just me and her. She teached me so many about business just by her actions. She ran a non profit organization to help the youth and community. I did art she made sure I was supplied with tools to be the best. We had our differences but all in all she is my inspiration goal to rise above.
