Meet Ciara Brown | Professional Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ciara Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ciara, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my most impactful legacy to be kindness. I really desire for people to remember that my family and I were kind before we were anything else. My business gives me so much opportunity to do so. I am forever grateful for that. I do not believe I am the most talented person in the world but I am kind and I am integral.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love the art of photography. I especially love my own. I’ve had a passionate, undeniable, raw love for photography since I was a pre-teen. I am now 31 years old owning a photography business and my love for photography is still undeniably the same. What I love most about photography and my art is that I see what no one else does. I’m able to capture the moments that others who are indulging in the moment miss. I believe that’s what I love most.
I have journeyed to where I am today professionally because I put in the work. I remember when I first began my business. I spent countless hours reading articles, watching videos, practicing, investing money in the right things and learning how to implement the best systems to attract the clients I desired. It was never easy. It required me a ton of times to say “no” to my comfort.
Along the way, I’ve learned that you have to be consistent. Consistency can make or break you in business. I learned that after I found my own rhythm in articulating my art the way that I wanted it to be displayed, it became easier for me to focus on my revenue and personal goals.
I want the world to know that my brand is genuine. I love to bring out the genuine and authentic emotions of my clients so when they go back and see their photos again and again, they can remember their “why.”
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visiting NC in the Triad area, I would undeniably take them to all of the coolest coffee shops around! I love a cute coffee shops and good conversation. My current favorite is Melrose Coffee located in Greensboro and Winston Salem, NC!
If the trip was a week long, we’d do a new coffee shop every morning, visit my favorite small businesses for lunch like Gillespie Grill, and in the evening, I’d take them to a rooftop! I’m a rooftop girl for sure no matter the city!
Some of my favorite Piedmont Triad NC places include:
– Stock and Grain food hall (High Point, NC)
– 98 Asian Bistro (High Point, NC)
– Magnolia Blue (High Point, NC)
– Print Works Bistro! (Greensboro, NC)
Or, traveling to Raleigh and Charlotte NC!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this Shoutout series to my husband, Darius Brown. Thank you Darius for not only seeing my hard work but imparting your everything into it! I love you!
