Hi Chrysta, what are you inspired by?
Several elements fuel my passion as a content creator in the realm of media. The diverse array of shows, advertisements, videos, and music serves as a wellspring of inspiration, shaping the visual direction of my content creation. Role models like Derrra, whose journey I admire, provide a constant motivation, reinforcing my belief in the attainability of the success I aspire to achieve. Despite facing challenges both personally and in content creation, the faith and the assurance that success awaits at the end serve as my inspiration to keep going as a creative.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a passionate black college student who shares my college experience, interests, advice, and life through digital media. What sets me apart is my genuine passion for creating content that goes beyond just sharing my life; it serves a bigger purpose. My primary objective is to produce inspiring and engaging content, through video and writing, aimed at uplifting and empowering the black community. Ultimately, my life goal is to make a positive impact on individuals through digital media, communications, and entertainment film.

To further this mission, I have established my own media company, The Resonant Effect, dedicated to amplifying, advocating, and bringing awareness to underrepresented voices and communities through digital media for black Gen Z.

The journey to where I am today has not been easy, juggling editing, shooting, and creativity while being a full-time college student with work and extracurricular activities. However, my drive, skills, and faith in God have propelled me forward. Overcoming challenges involves getting up when I feel knocked down and maintaining faith in the journey to success.

I want my followers, subscribers, and the world to know that I am a dedicated creative, and I won’t stop until my success surpasses even my wildest imagination. Even then, I will continue pushing forward.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Raleigh is truly a culinary haven. Whenever I return home, I make it a point to explore new dining destinations such as Wonderland or the iconic Morgan Street Food Hall. For a delightful girls’ night out, Peace & Saint is the ideal spot, offering a perfect blend of great vibes, delectable food, and refreshing drinks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to express my gratitude and recognition to my family and friends for their unwavering support in my journey as a Content Creator. Regardless of the frequency of my posts, the challenges I face with numbers, or the joy I experience in achieving personal goals, they consistently stand by my side. They understand my passion and the dedication I put into pursuing my dreams, offering nothing but positive feedback and reassurance in my abilities.
